And the coach is covering for him, claiming that he needs time to develop with team, too.

We all know vets do not develop.

Gotta trade one of them, the Hornets need to rebuild anyway...

They can't trade CP3 and we don't need Collison.

    He's a great young PG.

that statement looks pretty legit to me, how old is paul now? 22-23? are you saying that there is in no way he can get better on the court? Paul despite being in the league a couple years is still young himself, if the coach is playing paul it's because the team feels as a whole he's ready to go.

I wonder how DM feels having his this pic posted every now and then on the board. If I was him at first it would be a major ego boost, but as I time goes on I'd probably feel the posters here are having fun at my expense lol

On topic, CP3 IMHO would be a better target than Bosh or whoever this season. the Hornets want to rebuild ASAP and offering the Knicks picks, one of our pgs + filler would facilitate that.

He has been great but i think he is a product of his environment. Much like Brooks won't be within a fraction of a point from leading ALL pg's in scoring. Collison has been killin it, but so has Thorton. These guys have both been top 10 Rookies. I believe it's more the situation, rather than NO being a better scout than anyone.

We have two great young point guards, why would we need another one?

And you're nuts if you think New Orleans is going to trade CP3. They would have to announce the move to yet another city in the same press conference. That's how drastic it would be.

It would be harder for the Hornets to trade CP3 than for us to trade Yao. He is their franchise, at this point. A brisk cup of coffee from Collison in twenty or thirty games is not going to change that.

when you are the best PG when healthy, you can do whatever you want.

I spy some chemistry problems. Yes, CP3 is obviously a competitor, but he should put team in front of personal wants. He could also injure himself in the process.

He turns 25 in 2 months..

They should just trade Collison+Peja, and if they can Okafor, for some hungry vets and make a run..if they're owner is willing.

I see nothign wrong with him wanting to come back and play...if the coach feels DC needs more PT he'll give him some anyways.

    Is cp3 getting tmaced?

If he doesn't want to play: He is just doing it for money.

    If he plays: hurting development.

hah! funny that you have nothing to add about this current topic so you just do what most people do and try and find a way to bash t-mac. And so what if I'm a t-mac fan, is the guy not allowed to have fans?

You can't even compare the situations, t-mac wanted to come back but the organization said he wasn't ready to play full minutes yet. Chris on the other hand has the backing of the coaching staff obviously as they think he is prepared to return and play solid minutes. How has Chris Paul done anything in his career to make anyone think he just wants to come back to hog minutes for himself or otherwise.

Pretty much. It would be different if paul was 32 and collison 22, but thats not the case. Paul is a top 10 player, maybe even top 5 so why should he sit ?

wtf? this is the stupidest title i've seen. not that i've seen that many threads, but this one stinks a mile away. this is CHRIS PAUL we're talking about...not like Kidd or Nash. He's YOUNG TOO. He is less than 2 years less than Collison. In comparison, if Durant got hurt and came back, would they be saying they should develop Harden ? (totally legit comparison, CHRIS PAUL = 1st best pg in the league, Durant not = best SF in the league).

And no. CP is not available. If he is, Morey would easily give up Brooks any picks+anyone not named Yao to get him.
