The OP is pretty of the wall to start with, but yeah, now he's gone off the deep end revising history. BEAT LA is trolling us all.
I think you need CTRL-ALT-DEL, or just go for the power cord at this point. Still don't think you're serious, but on top of him quitting while in a Rockets uniform, his 31 is more like a 35 -- he came right out of highschool and when you put extra NBA years on a young body, it becomes an old body faster. People tend to always overlook this. Four young years learning the game and playing 35 games a year, in relatively mellow 40-minute games is much better than the NBA season.
While we're at it, let's resign scottie pippen, I know there was some relationship trouble, but now we got some talent to go with him!
As a Rocket fan that doesn't despise T-Mac, there just isn't any room for him anymore. Even if his health was guaranteed. We already have Martin, Ariza, Shane and Chase filling those positions. Where does T-Mac fit and at who;s expense? I actually think and he could still and help the team (when healthy) but that ship has sailed. Never worked out for Yao-TMac so its time to move on. I too wanted the Yao-TMac era to work out but somethings just don't go as planned.
You know, Steve Francis may have lost a step, but he was a great rebounder. Why not sign him too to play PF? Marbury + AI + T-Mac + Francis+ Yao Now THERE'S a team.
Ok, why does everyone keep wanting to start McGrady in the hypothetical situation that he returns for full MLE? With this starting line up, you're basically saying, "Yao, you play D and the rest of us will score." Fail. If Mac happened to return, he'd have to come off the bench. Does anyone remember when he came back during the 22 game win streak, which was a couple years ago I know, He did really well coming off the bench. If we could get him to agree to that, we'd have a potent bench while moving Unclevor Threeza back to the starting line up for D. Or, we could just try to outscore everyone with your hypothetically suggested line up.
Yes Bob, this is true, but how many full NBA seasons has Tmac actually had?? I'd say his 31 is still a 31 considering all the vacation time we paid him 20+ mil/yr for.
I'm sorry dude, but i have read this whole thread....and read all your submissions, and i must say this is by far the dumbest idea & thread i have read in a while........do you not understand what t-mac did this whole past year? smell the folgers......
Just let T-Mac go bro. You obviously have not listened to Morey or RA. Both have said numerous times they would rather have him seating at home then on the team because of all the negativity. Well at least they said it in their own words. T-Mac is like Terrell Owens on a team now. BTW.. My vote for worst thread of the year as well.
The team had him and chose not to play him this season. What makes you think they'd feel differently next season?
I gave this thread 2 stars just because it took some serious nuts to start this kind of a catastrophe.
If anyone thinks that T-mac is going to have a late career revival ala Grant Hill you're all out of your mind. I would seriously wager that T-mac, seeing that there is no market for him (other than maybe the vet minimum), will most likely retire this summer. Book It
Are you serious? Bringin' him back for what reasons? You think he still has some left in his tank for the rest of his career in the league or what? He's washed-up, has-been ordinary NBA role player right now, a player who can't stand up to the defender and play hustle. We don't need him even if he would play at the unexpected level next season.
the Ford Edsel, Bernie Madoff, Tiger Woods' text messages, The last guy who picked a fight with Chuck Norris, The guy who left the exhaust port open on the death star, and Mike Tyson's face tattoo called to say this is the worst idea ever.
