tmac's done as a rocket. if by some sort of a miracle he came back to being 100% healthy and the rockets believed this im sure hed sign back with us and would be a bench player. but the odds are astronomical!!
Championship is the goal. This is the only real shot th Rockets have. You can say this and say that, but we need more talent and scoring. That is how the Celtics did it. That is how the Lakers did it as well as the Pistons, and the Spurs. Tracy was only injured in 2006, and 2010 in the six years he was here while Yao only missed the 2009, and 2010 playoffs in the 8 seasons he has played for the Rockets. Tracy was ready to play this season coming back from surgery. This is the same guy that averages 30+ ppg in the playoffs. Even if they do get injured in the regular season, we have guys that can step up now. I don't think they will be struck by lightning three times.
14 playoff games for T-Mac (1 season) 10 playoff games for Yao (2 seasons) All of the greats go through injuries. It is part of the game. Kobe, Wade, Shaq, Duncan, Garnett, Anthony, etc. I think you guys are blowing these injuries out of proportion. I know it has been tough these last few years, but we never realistically had a shot at winning anything. Next season, the Rockets won't have to play them 40+ mpg with a deep bench.
let's look at it another way. Do we want to get out of the first round in 2011? You know the answer people
This thread is 10% delusional T-Mac optimism, 10% flame-broiled flame (sponsored by BK) and 80% LOLcats.
I dont get it, especially saying that Kobe is old, so he is not going to be good next year, and to fight against lakers getting old, you bring an old player? Tmac cant play anymore, he played great in his first two seasons here, but not anymore. And why not bringing someone like bosh, stoudamire, or someone better than Tmac?
I would pay half of TMAC's salary to new York if they can sign TMAC and play him significant minutes next season. top 3 pick, here we come........
Rockets have already wasted half a decade with McGrady. He did not make them better. History has proven that.

Run far away. There is absolutely no reason for him to be playing over Martin Martin right now. Or Ariza for that matter. This is coming from someone who WAS one of his biggest fans (and a jersey owner).
ok first off, going 0-6, 0-4, or 0-2 without t-mac must be terribly exaggerated, we'd generally go more like 2-5 or something along in there. as far as you saying t-mac is the most talented player available, last time i checked he hasn't been good enough to even be a consistent scorer as a starter. (check stats while on knicks). as far as you saying all 5 of those starters are "quality staters" and "great NBA players" take McGrady out and add a new free agent and you'd be right.
Take Tracy to the glue factory, that is where he is most needed. His style doesn't fit, his efficiency is going downhill, and his ego is crushing on a team. Let it go, he was great for a time in Houston, but that window slammed shut 2 years ago. Good bye Tracy, and GOOD RIDDANCE !!!! DD
see, this is what you're not understanding, yes he can drive from time-to-time, yes he's an average shooter, and he's still one of the best passing guards in the league, however, he's still injured now, he even said that himself! you're living a little too much in the past bro, which is what you needa understand. i'm a huge tmac fan (still am), but him coming back here ain't gonna happen, IMO, rick adelman seemed like he was scared of the guy. we wouldn't want our players bullying our head coach, would we?
