You pick whoever has the highest FT % for the season. Or at times like when Scola was hot, you would pick him. It all depends on who is hot, and when there is no one particularly hot you go by the percentages.
??? You stick Dream in his prime on this team and we'd have twice the defensive 3 second calls we do now. Stats are misleading in nefarious ways.
I remember last year when Brent, Ron, AB, and 2 other players on the floor had a group huddle for who should shoot the technical free-throw, but Rick choose instead. LOL
Technicals are almost always shot on the basis of season ft%. So it's going to be Martin, no question. There's no issues of seniority with technical shooting, it's not like starting or something.
I forgot that call existed with Yao/Deke out this season. If that call didn't exist, Yao would average 5 blocks per game.
Actually, I meant illegal defense on opponents is almost never called anymore, compared to when we had Yao. Yao was pretty good about not getting called for defensive 3 seconds in the lane (compared to Mutombo, at least).
YAO because he's clutch. Martin has a few points higher % but is he as clutch as Yao? Dunno I have to watch him more to know that. Consider Brooks, who's nearly 85% career but like 50% in the last 4 minutes of games... it's not just overall % but also your nerves as well. Yao hits that **** in the playoffs like money. He's as clutch as there is why would you have anyone but Yao take em?
I say go with the big man. I mean come on, he's rehabbing, gotta figure he's shooting a lot of free throws.
