    Isn’t Less the one that wanted Francis back?

    I thought JVG had a lot to do in the Gay/Battier trade.

    JVG wasn't thrilled about Gay it seems, and probably preferred to trade him for a veteran.

    Morey was the one that came up with a list of players he felt were worth going after. Battier was near the top.

    Who exactly made the final decisions on trading for Battier and negotiating the trade with Memphis isn't so clear. But I do think the idea of trading for Battier came from Morey (and his staff).
