MAN . . i just read that Cato went to a Big man's Camp?
    He been seen working out??

Mo T hustling and bustling tryign to lose weight and work on his game?

Could it be the Footsteps of Kenny Thomas and Ming scaring the
sh*t out of these guys to make them work?

Kenny should not be trade for that reason alone.

Evidently THESE GUYS NEED INCENTIVE TO WORK HARD
    BEYOND MONEY.

I don't think it is KT that he is worried about.

Except Mo was working this hard from the first game he played for us. In fact, the only reason he got hurt, and subsequently overweight (temporarily), was that he was working on his game in the summer while everyone else was sitting on their couch.

It's really a mistake to group Cato and Mo together...

I don't think so . .. maybe Mo Tay got hurt cause he was so out of shape. . . .
When Mo Played he seemed to be content to be where he was
now he seems to be trying to IMPROVE

Your correct Cat, Mo has been working hard since he joined the team.

Cat is right, River is wrong. All reports were that Mo was working hard all summer last year and that his injury was a freak accident. Mock him for his board stats, for his occasional pot smoking or for his weight, if you must. Don't question his effort, hard work or commitment to this team. Those things are all beyond reproach.

Don't equate wanting to get to know your teamates and your role to not wanting to improve.

MoT was really improving and getting more comfortable in the last half of his first year here. He was apparently in shape and was tearing up the court when he went down a freak achilles injury.

But all that aside, I want to see improvement from him this year as well.

While Mo might be worried about KT I'm d*mn sure he's worried about EG! I agree w/ Cat that Mo has been working hard since day one but he knows who the future PF of the Franchise is and he wants to hold him off for at least another yr. or two before he becomes 2nd string.

And I'll take anything to motivate Cato. Money, a #1 draft pick, whatever! As long as something moves him to become better.

You forgot to watch the second half of that season where he was an offensive force to get the team going from the tip.

You know what pisses me off? That everyone is suprised that Cato is actually working out this summer and that they are actually proud of him.

I'm not proud of his lazy a$$, he only works out when he figures out he might lose his spot, he probably wouldn't be doing a damn thing right now if we didn't draft Ming.

I'd be proud of him if he worked hard every summer. Instead we drafted Ming and he wants to show people what he can do, why didn't he do anything the past 2 seasons? Because he had nothing to lose and didn't give a damn.

We drafted Ming because "Center" was our weakest position, and now Cato wants to prove that he can handle the starting Center job (too late now lazy A$$).

I don't care why Cato is working hard on his game, I'm just going to be thankful that he is working hard on his game, and I hope it pays off for the Rockets.

You keep leaving out Rocket River the fact that Mo got injured while working out. So how can you say he is suddenly hustling and working hard when he was doing that when he suffered that fluke injury?

What are you talking about, Mo was reportedly trimmed down and was scrimmaging and sharpening his skills and trying to improve them when he got injured. The type of injury Mo suffered was a freak, flukish injury. You don't get those injuries being out of shape. The type of injury Mo suffered happens more often to well conditioned athletes then out-of-shape ones. He really wasn't out of shape his first year with Houston and he worked hard in the offseason. Whether you like Mo or not he isn't lazy, and he does try to improve. He got better each year he was with the Clippers.

So everyone believes that Cato went to a "Big Man Camp"? So far, I don't. I want more sources for what would be BIG news. (no pun intended)

Didn't MoT have the same injury that G. Hill got a couple seasons ago?

Cato worked hard all of last season, and has carried it into this offseason.

You know what motivates Cato? Playoff contention. He likes to be competitive. Last year, he thought we were going to make the playoffs, so he got pumped up. This year, he knows we will, that's why he'll be the starter most of the year.

Did we forget Cato played better last season around the all star break, so he wouldn't get traded? He busts his a$$ only when there is a threat to him such as being traded, or being part of something Big.

Just like Collier gaining the so called muscle so he can bang with Shaq. Taylor is the same lazy guy who played at Michigan and for the clippers. He hasn't improved one bit since coming into the league. Someone please tell me why other players can go to another team and instantly adapt and players come to the Rockets and take a yr or 2 to adapt? Taylor had the same chances in the first half of the season as he did in his so called gang buster last half which i failed to remember. I suppose it will take an entire season for Miller to adjust to the Clipps too.Ming and Griffin are the immediate future while Cato and Taylor are the immediate past.
