you're not doing it right. When you can't sign the FA he's supposed to suck and supposed to be overrated. You're not supposed to highlight the Teams ineffectiveness.
fail again fella, he was referencing the original ridiculous trade that originally brough babin to houston, he was joking
Just stating facts. Bodden and Robinson were the prettiest girls in the prom being held at the high school for fat and ugly chicks. We all knew D-Rob was a nickel corner at best now. And Bodden, well, he got sent away from the Browns and Lions... do I need to explain more? (I do? OK, sure. One mediocre season on the Patriots, football's version of the Cadillac, and that makes him automatically worth it? Yeah, right.) And, once again, you FAIL at realizing that the Texans made a serious play for Bodden, and *he* chose to go elsewhere. That's on Bodden more than the Texans. But yet with your short-sightedness and obvious vendetta, you seem to want to blame them. Just more evidence why no one takes you seriously around here. Sure we would've liked to have either one of them due to our lack of depth at that position, but quite frankly, it was a sellers market for corners this year, and the Texans will be better off in the future for not having them on the books (although Bodden's contract would've been slightly less unreasonable, but I already covered how the Texans tried). When you're building a winning football team, you have to have more than a 6-month attention span...
Well, it wasn't like he beat out some pro bowlers to get that job (two rookies and a dinosaur), he was basically last man standing in an injury riddled secondary, as I understand it. It isn't unheard of for some substitute playing for the Patriots to look pretty damn good while place-holding...
Dude, You take stuff too seriously. This FA market was lousy C+ Talent wanting A money. Even if the Texans got Bodden it wouldn't be an upgrade. They sure as hell couldn't keep Dunta because they have a reputation to protect and Dunta embarrassed them with his foolishness last season. I do feelthe coaches/FO have failed in Player evaluation/development though. Not having depth in the secondary because of Busts in the D-Line. The Texans can't really do anything. All we can hope for is getting lucky in the Draft with a Game ready player, ala Cushing. Agenda? I'm not trying to change anyone's mind unless they already feel that way. I prefer my opinion rather than the rhetoric fed to me by so many other people.
You are sort of talking out of two sides of your mouth here. First you say they cant locate the talent...then you compliment them (back handedly, i might add...so it's lucky they hit but stupidity when they miss?) about Cushing. I will admit, texans have had more misses than hits when it comes to drafting corners, although i i will give them credit on Quinn. wait, weren't you b****ing that the texans didnt get him, but now you admit it wouldnt be an upgrade. You should really stop pretending to be objective and provide arguments, because they usually arent very good. And not because you are completely wrong either, i.e. yes they have missed with some draft picks, but rather you are so bitter and blind with rage that the support for your arguments are based on irrational anger and therefore you have no clear, coherent and ONE solid message. (see double speak above). SO, you're job as a Texans "fan" is to just hate them and feel free to not feel the need and try to justify your despise because we all know you're just angry with the past and are hence taking it out on the present. basically, you're this guy Spoiler it's the only picture i could find...feel free photoshopers to a the bull to the front
Look My job as a "fan" is my own thing. I don't care what you think about it. I by tickets to games. I buy caps and Jackets. I just don't have to look at it like you do. You're a half full type guy. I can be bitter and pessimistic if I want to. You arguing with me is fun. It's all part of the dynamic of fans. It's always been that way. The Texans haven't earned my optimistic view yet. The Rockets have (different situation). At the end of the day we root for the same team. You have you're way and I have mine. If I piss you off so be it.
you don't piss me off by any means i was just messing with your and youre crusty texans demeanour
We might be on hard knocks next year! http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/fb/texansfront/6916120.html
Schefter is reporting that the Bears have cut Nathan Vasher. I think the Texans should be interested.
Jason Babin signed a one-year $1 million deal with the Titans. The Eagles will have one week to match or else he goes to Tennessee. Even though Babin is an unrestricted free agent, he negotiated a right of first refusal with the Eagles. That's why Philly can match the Titans offer.
He needs a career resurrection. I'd take him as long as he is cheap...maybe a change of scenery will do him some good.
If he's cheap and healthy, why not give it a shot. He can play corner and played some safety last year. Texas kid, former all pro. Can't be any worse than Bennett. Can he?
