I'd take Josh Smith...not for Scola though but Smith is a great shotblocker...as for Lee nope. He will be a overpaid Scola. I'd rather just keep Luis and improve elsewhere.
That's true, but i think the Scola experience will make Morey more interested in Manu also. Plus, it's a given Manu has been injuried the last 2 seasons, but he is healthy as of now, and he has not been injury prone throuout (i don't know if i spell that right) his career. Had 2 major injuries as of late, but seems to have no sequels. Morey will have the rest of the season and the PO to get more information on his status as well.
i hate college basketball.. and if u seen my earlier post about Scola u woulda seen my long elaborate description of Scolas overseas career... sont speak on somethin u halfass know about.. intelligent ppl take that approach
Manu off our bench with Lowry could be a pretty scary second unit. If they could trade Battier or Ariza for him, they probably should. Tho his age and injury problems are concerning.
This is why it will not be Bosh, Morey never talks about players he covets. Kevin Martin....not a word about him. DM is a smokescreen waiting to happen. DD
Best thing about Scola is that he is restricted. I guaranteeeeee you that we match whatever offer is given to him as well as Lowry.
That's what i think, cause NY will have more to offer if they land LBJ. But i also think Morey will pursue Manu. (or i would like him to)
But actually a lot of people expected Morey to go after Kevin Martin, it was only Sacremento's seemingly unwillingness to trade him that kept the rumors down.
I think thats because he didnt want a bidding war with Martin. Going after Bosh doesnt invlovle bidding.
the kevin martin talks were the first leaked possible trade out there wat are u talkin about? Morey said he was after martin the entire season.. talks just went dead in the middle of the season then it picked up and went through in the last hours
Yes it does...it requires other teams to offer assets.... I don't think we need Bosh....we need a healthy Yao and a trade of either Shane or Trevor for a backup big like Camby. Personally, I think next year is not a target either, but 2011, so I highly doubt we go after anyone big in free agency....especially when the CBA is going to contract....who wants to be stuck paying 20 million for a player that will only be worth about 12 million in the new economy? DD
What Dilemma? Scola certainly isn't a dilemma. He is staying. Period. Our dilemma, as it has been for 3 or 4 years now, is health and legit, big body to back-up Yao that isn't 40.
To me, GARM seems to always be full of knee-jerk threads. So, he has been getting hot lately, but remember those stretches where he didn't do much at all? Don't get me wrong; I love Scola, but we need to wait a bit and see how he plays over an extended time.
