I like Battier starting because he can guide the defense.

We have two very good scorers in Brooks, and Martin. We also have a very good offensive minded Scola. Battier should play with this team to keep their defense in check to start the game and provide some leadership on the court.

Ariza would probably thrive more with Lowry's running in the 2nd unit.

Well i was thinking.. what if lowry started with brooks and martin an have ariza and shane come off the bench ...only cuz shane is older, rather he rest cuz he is one of our best defenders (keep him energized) an ariza is a good defender also, so i wonder how it would be to bring two defenders off the bench..."mayb interesting" Can u imagine how fast paced the game would be with lowry, brooks, and martin WOW!! Oh n lowry is also a good defender by the way)

 If you start Lowry, Brooks, and Martin, along with Scola.... who scores when you have to sub in the second quarter? Its not about putting your best five guys out there, its about putting your best unit out there. To an extent, both lowry and Brooks need the ball in their hands to be effective. So somebody is ineffective while on the court.

Ariza right now -- with Battier coming off some other team's bench. We need to use Shane's contract to acquire a positional upgrade and/or reduce our salary cap total.
