Well, you can't rely too much on +/- but Tracy was an amazing -25. That's a rare feat, honestly. Nobody else on the Knicks was close to that #.
Well lots of ups and downs for TMac but put everything alone on the side, he had one of the worse injuries that could happen. Honestly I never expected him to play as he did few years back, he's happy he's playing
So, should I play Mcgray against the Mavs tonight? Seriously though... He was so ****ty last game that I am tempted. Is Shawn Bradley playing?
How is your league? Is it categories? In my money league we have categories. I kept him because even with him not scoring he had a game with 3 blocks and he usually gets you assist. After last night and with him saying his knee is breaking down on him looks like i better drop him.
If I were coaching the Knicks, I never would have let hm start in the first place (post-trade, not just last night). Bring him off the bench so you can read what he has on a night to night basis. Have control over the matchups he sees. Take the pressure off him. Control his minutes. Letting him start right off the bat was foolish. Coaches need to put players in the best situation to succeed, and trotting him out there to guard Mayo and Gay was cruel. Give him a fair chance.
Come on. I know you are right, but it really doesn't matter for the Knicks. They can even play him 40 minutes a night ( of course he can't handle even 25 hahaha) if that means more sold tickets. It is not about winning for them anymore. They don't care. All they are thinking is July the 1st. And if they can earn more $ this season, than why not? And of course D'Antoni is an idiot. Every other coach on a normal team would not even play McGrady a second. He is hurting his team.
Beat writer Alan Hahn wrote on Twitter that Tracy McGrady admitted he is "shot" and that his "legs just aren't there" as he continues to try to recover from microfracture surgery. http://www.twitter.com/alanhahn
http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/knicks/mac_laggin_in_loss_DJHPB3I2xpORXGtxbO24YO To Jeff: Sure the Knicks don't care about wins right now, and McGrady was brought in only for his $23M. But letting him look this bad makes them look bad. They don't need to alienate any additional fans right now when they don't have to. Develop the handful of young guys who may be sticking around. Have him come off the bench so it's not so glaring when he stinks it up and/or can't last a single half of play. Had D'Antoni been bringing him off the bench to start of with, riding him on good nights and pulling him back on off ones, everyone would be doing a lot better right now.
"It's becoming increasingly clear: The Knicks are better without Tracy McGrady, whose breaking down by the game." _____ Ouch.
not really. the Knicks fans go to root for their team. New York is the mecca of basketball. Spike Lee goes to every game and didn't decide to show up cause mr glass came to town.
