Hmm, I like the facts that love rebounds well, has a nice face up game and can hit a jumper extending out to the three point line. Love is an above average passing bigman, just not sure he's what we need along side Yao. His defense is below average IMO which sours me some. I'd still like to have a more athletic 4 that can play solid D and run the floor. Love is a very heady player, I like his game overall but for me as more of a key role player type.
Obviously he would seem to not be happy with that role

Wow, both of you thinking about his hard-on at the same time, he must be quite a popular fellow!

The only edge I think he has over Scola right now is rebounding but not by much. His D might be slightly better but everything else Scola has the edge on. I would rather just keep Scola right now but Love is nice.

Let's say the Rox have the package Minny wants. Where would Love fit-in in the Toy Shop and at the expense of...Scola? Hill?

I'm on a JO'N is the 4/5 b/u Rox need for next 2-3 years. He fits and is readily attainable.

Can we deal with Bullard with Kevin Love on the team?

I'd be willing to bet the Wolves would rather part with Jefferson before they let go of true Love. Love has a better attitude, is younger, doesn't have a history of knee problems and he's still on his rookie contract. I've followed him since his legendary HS days at Lake Oswego. He's probably up there with some of the more naturally skilled big men who don't rely on pure athleticism. He has a natural feel for the game and if there ever was such a thing as basketball IQ he ranks at the top in that regard.

He's already a double-double machine. Think Zach Randolph minus the bad attitude, selfishness and boneheaded plays. He'd be putting up 20+ points and 13+ boards per game if he were the main option in the paint. No Love for Houston.

IMO Love is Scola 10 years ago which would be intriguing but honestly rather go after Jefferson using the picks we have at our use.

If we can somehow get Love then sure why not? I mean Love is a solid PF and for coming off the bench with inconsistent minutes and average 15 and 10? Love will be an All star someday. He is an upgrade over Scola simply because he's much younger than Scola but right now Scola is a better player. But who knows, maybe Love would stay where he is at or get better.

But right now our PF position is pretty much fulled with Scola and Hill. So if Love comes here, he would have a hard time competing against Scola and Hill needs the minutes in order to become the player of his potential. But I would welcome Kevin Love to come to Houston because his style fits this team. He would love it here and thrive on this system. If somehow Hill can somehow play the C position and Kevin Love be our PF a few years later when Scola is older and Yao retires. We would have a short front court but very talented. Hill is 6'10, he is a tad bit taller than Amar'e who also can play the C position.

A big No to Kevin Love, the only player I want from Minny is the one that isn't playing for them, Ricky Rubio!!

Plus I wouldn't give up this years Lotto pick for Kevin Love....

if Rockets get some love from Minny and get Love it will certainly mean trading - (insert here any Rockets player that's in rotation)

but thats a good thing if somehow Rockets don't lose the core, if they have it what so ever

I don't think we have a chance to get Love but he would fit absolutely perfectly here and command a starting role. He can pass from the high post, he is a very very good rebounder at both ends. He plays below the rim but we can live with that if Yao is healthy. He can initiate the break very well too through rebounding and quick decision passing. Love probably fits here better than anywhere else in the league.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Carl Herrera again.

    Damn.

+1 in spirit for the title.

Love is one of those players that is unselfish and fundamental enough that he'll be a relatively good fit anywhere. I'd take him (hinging on what we would give up obviously).

Kevin Love is a great player, and I think he would mesh well with Yao Ming. He's a great offensive rebounder, with range up to the 3pt line, and he shoots a great FT% to boot. Honestly, I think that minny would rather part with Aljeff before they let go of Love.

If David Kahn has a brain inside his head (questionable at this point) there's absolutely no way you deal Kevin Love for anybody outside of a top 15 talent. Now, that's not to say that Love is a top 15 talent right now or anything crazy like that, but when you have a player that's producing like he is at the age of 21 that's clearly a cornerstone of your franchise.....you simply don't let player vs. coach or player vs. GM issues get in the way. You make it work somehow.

If the T-Wolves are unable to do that this leaves the status of their three best players/assets (Love, Jefferson, Rubio) all currently in limbo. Rubio is never going to play a single game for them, they tried to unload Jefferson earlier this season coupled with the fact that he's not the same player he was before the knee injury and now you want to consider alienating Love on top of all that? The T-Pups can't be this incompetent.
