Steve's apprehension about Ming is pretty well documented but I think the overreaction has been bad. Posters are talking like Steve & Yao will never be able to get along, or that Steve straight hates the kid and we need to get rid of him. I don't see the situation like this at all. This is not the first case of teammate friction and it won't be the last. Remeber just a few years ago Kobe & Shaq HATED eachother, so much that Shaq punched him in the face and they both asked to be traded. Fastforward and what do you see. The most dominant duo in the NBA and a squad coming off their 3rd consecutive championship. How did it happen? They both matured and realized they needed eachother to win and in the process they both look good. Why can't Steve have a revelation of that nature? He's 25 which gives him some time to change and mature and I think he will. He's the best player we have and he'll see how Ming can help lead us to the top.

Be patient, relax, and enjoy the show.

That has got to the dumbest statement I have EVER read.

Yao as talented as he may be has yet to prove he can play, I believe he can, but it hasnt been seen yet!

And Eddie, Eddie is chop full of potential, but at this point thats all it is......Eddie has proved he's a good 3-point shooter at best, but who needs a 6'10" 3 point marksman...

Lastly I think this team NEEDS Steve Francis....he is the man at this point and until Yao and Eddie prove they are better, Steve remains the man

Aznlincolnpark;- Such an opinion will get you nowhere!!I can asure you that the Rox need a strong leader to make this Team jel. That leader is Steve Francis. You are wrong in what you said, come back in three years and try again. Then there 'might' be some truth to say about Yao. You are plain out of wack even for a Yao supporter .

Steve doesn't like ming. But does Kobe like Shaq? No. The co-exist because without each other they are not as strong. I'm sure Francis will realize that.

when steve gambles on a steal, his man will blow past him to the lane. steve will be feeling like he is on the wrong end of a sportscenter highlight. as he looks back to the baskett to see the dunk being made, something strange will happen.

yao comes out of nowhere! and keeps it in play! yao picks up the lose ball and steve feels relieved. then realizes he has to run his ass off to catch that outlet pass meant for him. steve tracks it down and catches it right in the lane. 1 dribble, the leap, and 2 points for stevie.

i think he can learn to like that.

    Facts form last season:

    Without Francis: 2-21
Without Francis: 15 game losing street
    With Francis still hurting: 26-33

Yeah, man. You are definetly right on this one. I mean Moochie gave us a lot of wins on the win column. What are you gonna post latter. That Langhi is our franchise player.

Anyone who has played ball . . .and wanted to win
Has played with some real jackasses . . .but that did
not mean on fast break if they were open . . and you had confidence
in their shot. . . you got them the ball.

IF Francis freezes people out like he did Shandon [MAKE NO MISTAKE . . . HE AND MOBLEY DID FREEZE SHANDON OUT ON MANY AN OCCASSION] . .. then RUdy should step in

Aznlincolnpak: What in the blue hell did you get your basketball knowledge, to say we don't need Steve because we have Moochie is just moronic. Please put you crayons down and study the game a little more before you post something this crazy again.

These Ming supporters are just laughable. What are most of you Chinese or something? I agree that Ming is an intereting player who should really hep us out but do you honestly believe that e will set the l on fire this year? Jesus, the guy is YEARS away from being an allstar type player. I cannot wait until the season opens and many of you jump off the bandwagon much the same way many of y'all have deserted the Franchise. It is so irritating to see where this board has gone. We went from being a commuity of Rockets fans to a bunch of bandwagon hoppers who believe that Ming is the shiznit and the rest of the team should fall in line with what is best for Ming. BBall is a team sport. Any problems Steve and Cuttino had with Ming where based on what they thoght the team needed, not any personal thing with Ming. Just to end the post I'll say that yes, Ming and Steve will be fine. We will make the playoffs and you all will get to see some great ball from Steve and hopefully Yao as well, and that is all that matters.
