Blazers might drop out, but I fancy griz to take that position instead of the Rox. Rox should be able to finished above .500, but up to 5-6 games above .5? I just can't see that type of consistency. Especially when Rick will fiddle with the rotation again with the return of Lowry and Ariza.

I think the "victim" is going to be the Blazers or Spurs.

We have a chance. 19 games is quite a lot, to me anyway.

Weak as they currently are, their biggest strength has been their opponents underestimating them. I would not be surprised to see them make it to the playoffs despite injuries and despite old age.

Any ways I would rather playe the Lakers at 8 than the Nuggets or Mavs.

Lakers may not be as hungry as those other teams, we could catch them sleeping again.

We don't even have Yao this time, we'd be headed into butcher's row.

Yao accounted for one win the last series. Once the Lakers fronted him we never made a counter.

I'm not saying we became better without Yao, but even Phil admitted that once Yao came out that allowed for Brooks to go on a tear and the Lakers had to adjust again.

If we ever solve Yao's fronting problems than yes...that team could have went far, a dominant Center is and has always been hard to beat in the NBA. Look at Dwight, Hakeem, Russel...ETC ETC.

But the truth is, Yao only accounted for one win, Brooks, Artest, Battier...that whole team played their ass off that series.

Thunder is not going to go 9-11, barring any injuries.

    Do you smoke rocks?

Seriously, I like the optimism but we're done. However, I'm excited for next year.

I think we can still make a run at it but I just don't see the Thunder falling apart. I will say if we do make a run then Memphis, who destroyed Boston in Boston tonight, will also will be right there so a win next week is a must.

If we're expecting teams to lose so we can move up in the conference, we are really fooling ourselves. Especially when we can't even beat the teams we are supposed to beat.

That 22 game win streak was preceded by some really great team play that we're not showing as off late. You can't just turn it on - it has to build.

For the Rockets to have a shot at the playoffs, we need to finish off March with a 9-2 run. That's going to be difficult considering 3 of the games are against Boston, L.A., and Denver and one against SA in SA.

Meaning we have to win half those games and sweep the rest.

Possible? Absolutely. But I wouldn't bet on it at this point. I say let's see how the next 4 games go - that will basically tell us a lot. If we go 3-1 - there's still hope. Anything less and it's probably over.

C'mon man the NBA is rigged. David Stern and his refs/puppets are not gonna help the Rockets get into the playoffs without their superstar Yao.
