I never said he was the best point guard in the league. I only said he is the best PG that the Rockets have had in 15 years (ok, maybe 14). Who has been better in that time?

Of course Nash and probably 5-10 other PGs in the NBA are better than Brooks. No argument here.

I was only complaining that it is silly to compare him to Luther Head or Rafer Alston.

I'd argue that Kyle Lowry is the best PG the rockets have had in a long time.

The guy tool like 10 shots in the entire playoffs. And if my memory serves me correct, the last 3 he took went in. It was in the 4th with 5 minutes left in the game. The Rockets needed every point they could get, because when they are up by 8 with 7 minutes left in the game JVG calls a timeout and says FOCUS ON DEFENSE. I don't care if you can't score I DON'T WANT TO SEE THEM SCORE AND WE WILL WIN THE GAME....rather than setting up a play to score and putting more pressure on them to score. It is easy to score off a miss even if you get back fast enough because the defense is more tired than the offense.

Right. Alston could miss his shots all night long but all of a sudden make a big 3 when the game is on the line. His clutch FT is poor though.

Whoops, I meant to quote that guy who said "except in the playoffs." Not Yoyo.

Alston was nice to have at the end of games because other teams always wanted him to take the shot. Plan B was always an NBA guard with a good look at a three. That is why he made so many, because even if he was 1/10 he knew this one mattered the most. Other teams gambled too much on him.
