Nate worked out with the grizzlies and impressed them also tony brony of the grizzlies staff said to Maariv:
"he had wonderful practice, he showed us that he is just what we thought he is a legit NBA player"
he went on complimenting nate and his team maccabi Tel-Aviv.
he also said that hufmman probebly won't get an answer until the draft.
    the story also said that:
"the houston rockets will probebly not sign hufmman in spite of his great work out because of the sums of money that he is asking for, a reporter from the "Houston chronicel" talked to sources in The rockets and said they were surprised from the amount of money he is going to make if he will stay in maccabi close to a million $ but the point is that in israel the team pays the tax
so to make the same amount of money in the NBA he will heve to get something like 1.5 milloon.
but still the Rockets were impreased and are going to invite him to a pre season camp.

The Rockets can't free up 1.5 million for Huffman? In a recent NBA Today broadcast, Rick Buecher or whatever his name is said that the Rockets could free up about 4 million dollars for Austin Croshere.

Also, on the main page, it said that Huffman has a tattoo of the NBA on his arm, and that there's no question that he wants to play in the NBA. I mean why would you want to play in Israel when you can come to the best basketball league in the world? There's still a chance he might come here. And if Hakeem, or Cato get injured ,then we can play him a lot. But if they dont, then there's no room for him...

i'm thinking to myself what would i prefer playing in the boring israeli league(as i mentiond before Maccabi wins just about every thing here) for "1 milion dollars"
(dr evil style [IMG]) or play for less money on the same team with dream in the N.B.A well i know i will be willing to pay to earn the privilege of playing with 1 of the game's gratest Centers.
i guess it's not as big dream as he said it is.
but you guys should understand here if you play for maccabi you are being looked at as a god i mean when maccabi made it to the final-four in the euro-league about 100,000 pepole celebrated all night long i a square in Tel-Aviv (remamber there are only about helf a milion pepole living in that city)
i guess it's hard to leave a thing like that and imagine making milion dollars a year (without counting the bouns for winnig titels) and being a god.
i'ts a hard decision but i hope Nate will follow his heart and sign with the Rockets.

Why can't we use the 2 million exception on him?

He seems to have some pretty good skills, and if he can push Cato, then all the better.
