Lowry, in less playing time, has twice the assists of Brooks and the same rebounds. Thanks for proving your point........not.

Lowry is a playmaker, Brooks is a SG in a tiny body. Not an insult to Brooks in any way, that's just what he is.

You do realize that this is his first game back after missing a couple of weeks due to injury right? You need at least a few games to shake off the rust and butterflies as well as getting use to his teammates. I preferred watching Lowry tonight then Brooks dribbling the shot clock away constantly.

Hmmm... Luis is credited with 7 TOs and 5 PFs :-/ Not so good.

In other news, our bench owned it tonight, in no small part due to Hill:
    Pts: 38
    Reb: 18 (incl. 9 OReb)
    Ast: 9
    TO: only 3

ITP a guy tries to pretend he's actually read the topic even though it's painfully obvious he hasn't.

    Reading comprehension. Try it.

I wasn't criticizing Lowry. I was shooting down the idea that this win is somehow because Lowry is the key figure on this team and needs to start over Brooks.

When idiots like trugoy and Htown's2kFinest stop littering the GARM with their nonsense, I will stop having to shoot it down.

Their minutes played were actually pretty similar, tonight. Brooks got a handful more.

Lowry IS a key figure on this team. Brooks plays +40 minutes on this team, we'll lose more often than we win. Lowry plays +40 minutes on this team, we'll probably lose more too. When they play together, the sum is greater than its parts and Rockets win more.

I agree with you. Again, reading comprehension; I said I was shooting down the idea that Lowry is the key figure, as in, more important than Brooks.

Every player on this team is important.

The only time Lowry was even mentioned in this thread was when people said "Welcome back Lowry and Ariza" and when I said how much better I felt about the bench with him and Ariza coming back.

Not a single person mentioned Lowry should be a "starter".

ok i'll AB nut hugging fanboy. just stop talking. you clearly are bias towards AB. I don't have a problem with either one of them. who ever plays better and helps the team the most I want and you are too stupid to not see the impact Lowry has on this team. AB is a SG in a PG's body. Just face it. Stop it with the fanboyism already lol.

I thought we already knew Brooks was the better shooter and Lowry the better playmaker? Your illustration kind of just proves the "fanboys" argument.

Look at the players when Brooks has the ball. They are just standing around b/c Brooks is trying to beat his man off the dribble or go iso. When Lowry is in the game, everyone is moving b/c they know if they get a split second open, Lowry will deliver the ball.

Towards the end of the game, they need to play inside and out and continue cutting and running the offense instead of watching Brooks do whatever he does.

You're the one who keeps bringing it up. Hell, you even went so far as to sig me (thanks again, by the way  ). If idiots like you weren't constantly getting after Brooks' job and saying he should be traded, we wouldn't be having this discussion. As I said, I like them both, and I like them both in their current roles. No changes needed.

LOL. Doesn't that just prove as a PG you don't need to score to have a bigger impact in a game? Lowry +8, Brooks 0.

    Ahem. Back on page 2:

If you don't get what this is in reference to, it was the bullcrap Htown was spouting in the game thread. He was trying to continue it in here.

+/- is a useless stat for assessing the value of individual players, buddy. Nice try, though.
