i wasnt quite sure what to expect from this one but i think its definitely one of the better movies ive seen in the last year or two
i didn't come in w/ high expectations, but i thought the movie was pretty average. 3 disjoint, stereotypical storylines for me, but i'm pretty critical.
Crash + Training Day = Brooklyn's Finest Although it is nowhere near as good as crash the whole idea with different stories meeting at the end is there. Overall it was pretty good I thought.
Yeah, this thread got me excited, until I saw the RT rating...will watch when it comes on HBO or something.
LOL man dont ever trust rotten tomatoes... people there give praise to movies like The White Ribbon http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/white_ribbon/ anyone who has seen this movie knows its absolutely horrible, completely wasting two hours of your life. never in my life have i seen a movie so bad get such critical acclaim. Im not saying Brooklyns Finest is a masterpiece, just that its well worth it to check it out and i can almost guarantee you'll rate it higher than rotten tomatoes has.
I never read reviews, or listen to critics. I go into a movie with a open mind, and if at the end of the movie, I just hope that it atleast entertained me. I agree I did see how it ran along the lines of Crash.... Could the ending been better, ofcourse...they prob will have the alt. ending on the DVD But until critics themselves sit down and write a script and have it produced as a movie, so other people can sit and tear it down...I think most people should stick with...It held my attention, or It just wasn't for me
From a facebook friend, who has written about 3 paragraphs worth of status updates/comments on how bad this movie was: "I don't get to go out and watch movies at the threater that often, so I can't believe I wasted my time with that absolute trash of a film. I could have taken my $8.50, converted it to pennies and thrown them one at a time at cars as they pass on the freeway and had a much more satisfying feeling at the end of the night." LOL
Movie looks just god-awful. The ads make it look like: Watered-Down Training Day (Ethan Hawke) + Middle-Aged-Jack-City (Wesley Snipes) + Woefully Less-Than Internal Affairs (Richard Gere) + At-Least-I'll-Be-War-Machine-Where's my Paycheck? (Don Cheadle) At least they didn't try to resurrect Denzel's Alonzo to star. Has Wesley Snipes reached an age where he no longer assaults our eyes with martial arts? That would be a plus. To each his own. I'll wait for Green Zone (warmed-over "Bourne" knockoff) and "Clash of the Titans", to segue into the summer flicks.
