I will add, however, that I don't view Jordan Hill as "merely a throw-in". I think he is a nice young player. Just not the "big piece of the trade" that others make him out to be.

    Id do:

Scola + Hill (emphasize that he was the 8th pick) + First round pick + Ariza

    for

    Bosh

Bosh is praised so much and I wonder if "The Ru Paul of Big Men" is what everybody expects if we should get him?

I honestly think Battier has more trade value than Ariza. Scola + Hill (emphasize that he was the 8th pick) + First round pick + Battier

Hill was the 8th pick overall in last year's draft, so obviously he has value. If he gets to play a little more he will produce some numbers and draw attention around the league. I believe that we can get significant value in a trade for Hill.

However, there is also another possibility that Hill starts to improve significantly and he gets into the picture of becoming part of the Rockets' future core. I for one am surprised with the passing abilities that Hill has shown. He seems to be a smart player despite of his short basketball career (didn't pick up basketball until high school)

Either way, playing Hill more is defnitely a good choice for the Rockets and I expect to see Jordan get a lot of burn as the Rockets fall out of the playoffs picture.

Jordan Hill is doing well in the last two games, he should have a good career in NBA, but I think the rockets want to win right now, and prefer to get a star player to play with Yao, so Hill should be a good trade bait for getting Bosh or others.

Bosh??? We need a ball handler who can set us up quickly in our O. I would rather see what Minny wants for jefferson and rubio. We could also use someone like manu in late game situations IMO.

I think Brooks is about as untouchable as Yao right now. He is supposed to be an All-Star this year imo. Coaches screwed up.

Bosh is not going anywhere. I believe all the hype of the FA this Summer will be for not, all will end up staying with their current teams. Amare and Boozer are the only ones I see moving on.

I wish pepple will stop this Bosh talk.He is not whats really needed. What need is what Hill gives us.Scola + Hill give us what we need at a very good price. So way trade are assets and are depth cap space for a guy who is only little better then Scola on offense and on par with a rookie on D, rebounding, shot blocking.

Maybe it would be better for the Rox if he decides to stay put so we don't entertain any ideas about gutting the nucleus of the team to get him. He comes back yesterday and the Rapts still lose their 5th of 6 and to a pretty bad team the 76ers. I don't see how you put him up there in the same class as Lebron or Wade, who put their teams on their backs and win.

I think that Hill is going to be part of the rockets future. We got rid of Landry and if we get rid of Hill and Scola for Bosh than we wont really have a backup PF. We still have Hayes and Andersen but lets be real if Yao goes down with another injury we will be short of a PF. I rather keep Hill and see how he devlops who knows maybe he could be as good as Bosh.

Seems kind of silly to say he's just trade bait, when the team is looking to upgrade at that position and might trade Scola to do so. Better to say Hill could be used in a trade, or, if he keeps playing well, he could be a key part of the team next year. It's not like he's some over-the-hill talent. He's young and full of potential, so he could fit into the Rockets nicely. Let's say the Rockets did get Bosh, but lost Scola. Maybe they'd want to keep Hill. The point is, the same qualities that would make him "trade bait" might make him a keeper. I doubt Morey was looking at him only as trade bait when he brought him in.

Maybe a foreign born player who hails from a place with a colder climate. But I'm sure Scola wouldn't like Toronto too well.

Wouldn't the master baiter go home empty handed all the time, which is how he developed into a master baiter?

A true master baiter will typically end up with something in his hands most of the time.
