He was in a hurry, I just told him good luck with the season and whatnot. His girl seemed annoyed by people coming up to him. She's a fine yellow bone
Good for Ariza, doing his best to play through the pain. Stupid as heck on Adelman's part actually letting him play. He aggravated the hip pointer by playing through it and is likely out longer as a result.
Adelman might have been in a bit of a flop-sweat to not miss the playoffs. He can go ahead and relax. Played Ariza nearly twice as much as he was used to playing in any case. I do hope the let-Ariza-shoot-whenever-he-wants mentality goes away now that we have Martin and, next year, Yao + Whomever We Trade For. Props to Ariza for caring enough to try to play through it.
Arizas one hardcore dude, ppl thats never played sports dont understand how painful an injury like that is, if u turn ur knee outward its like ur pelvis coming outa socket and that crap hurts like nothin describable
I miss him,he was making progress. I thought his last poor performance was related to his injury. Get well soon Trevor.
Good to hear Trevor will be back soon. But I can't lie, I know most people here didn't want Ron, but I would have loved to kept him. I get it, he's older and can be a ballstopper at times. Plus, we had no reason to give him a long contract. But at least he brought toughness, and you knew if something went down he would stick up for his guys. In addition he actually had a post game because of his strength. And this team has all soft/nice guys. With Trevor, he frustrates me....his defense I like, but he is so awkward on the dribble. Tracy was and is still even after MFS more fluid and smooth dribbling. Not to mention his shot jump shot is better. And Trevor bricks so many shots.
But you have to remember Artest would not have signed with Houston for the MLE. He would have expected a larger contract offer since Houston held his Bird Rights. Since he wasn't getting the "big money", he opted to take an MLE contract with the Lakers to chase the ring with his favorite team and player. He wasn't about to do the same with the Rockets. Like you, I love what Artest brought, but not for the money it would have taken to keep him.
