I just hope the plans don't get bogged down in the usual political time/money waste.
The whole thing is a joke. The government by nature is corrupt, wasteful and inefficient - anything but a savior. This is just another shining example.The IRS should be abolished, period.
Okay, I expected replies to be of the sort "Yay, technology!" since I put this in the Hangout, but if they're going to be rooted in anti-big government tea partier-style sentiment, perhaps this should be in D&D.

I never understood calls to abolish entire departments of the federal government -- IRS, Homeland Security, Education, or whatever. How will the government get any money if they abolish the IRS? You'd have to abolish the entire government.
The goverment should just buy Turbo Tax.......it would be cheaper than recreating what they already have. DD
Is there something wrong with what I said? Do you disagree? Do you think former presidents embraced technology like our current one does? Do you have anything constructive to say whatsoever other than wild assumptions about what I might have been looking for in a topic clearly geared towards improving our technological infrastructure in the government? No?
I think these questions are best left to the D&D. And i think unless you are dumber than a post, you know that.
This thread seems perfectly fine for the hangout, it doesn't have to be a D&D thread just because you mention Obama... but inevitably, people like Shovel Face, Southern Select, etc, will take any excuse they can to sh** all over a perfectly clean thread that even mentions taxes or the president. And casey, well, he's being a lot more bitter and counterproductive than usual. Don't really know why, but for someone who seems to rail against condescending jerks as much as he does, he sure knows how to act like one.
Except those questions are not what this thread (which had already been sufficiently derailed since the first reply) was created for. Those questions were only posed towards you directly after you questioned my motivation behind this thread. I hope you realize this, but I fear you do not.
Considering the time you spend in D&D I hope you realize it is the place for all political threads. Threads in which you start with the praise of one president and the diss of others in the opening post is political.
