id say most likely battier, it would be interesting though to have this:
    brooks
    martin
    battier
    ariza
    scola
If we put a 6'6" guy at center, we should have no probelm with a 6'6" guy at power forward

A team with a competent guard and a competent big would wreck that lineup. Ariza does not rebound like a PF and cannot guard PFs. Unless we're playing against GSW or a small ball lineup, Ariza at PF is not a great idea.

He rebounds 5.6 per game. The same as Landry.

He can guard Rashard Lewis type PF's.

I'm not saying we should play him at PF but he can in some cases.

The difference between putting Chuck Hayes at Center and putting Ariza at Power Forward is that Chuck has the strength and quickness to battle most of the Centers in the league (excluding Shaq and Dwight Howard). Ariza doesn't have the strength to go against most PFs in the league.

The only PF I would have confidence in Ariza if they were to match-up against one another is Rashard Lewis. But even then, that lineup would get completely demolished by Dwight Howard.

A thought just occured, what about if we put battier at the PF instead of ariza, wouldn't that be favorable against dallas, charlotte, or golden state?

Against Dallas, I don't think we'd have the advantage either way... so I think I would rather just have the Brooks/Martin/Ariza/Scola/Hayes starting lineup so that we could have Lowry, Budinger, and Battier coming off the bench.

Against Charlotte and Golden State? Yeah, that probably would give the Rockets an advantage.

In most cases, Ariza would end up in traction after playing PF for any significant portion of a game.

I think half of you really took the question the wrong way. It was just a simple who would you choose, not who should put up with Ariza when he comes back. I like Ariza and i agree with BimaThug in the aspect that hes still a young guy who hasnt hit the ceiling yet. Ariza was given responsibilities that were above his pay grade. We signed him for the MLE not some huge contract like a Yao or a McGrady and he was expected to be the man of the team. Give Ariza another year because what a lot of you dont realize is that even if we do well with the unit we have in this year next year we incorporate yao into it so dont read into this year too much as o Ariza cant take the role he was given. We have a great team we just need all the pieces to come together. I would rather Ariza be something between a role player and superstar. I think that way he would honestly do better without the pressure of trying to do too much.

I don't think Trevor Ariza is gonna play on Saturday.
I saw him today in Terminal C at the airport. I was walking with my head down on my phone and I bump into a tall ass 6'8 black guy. Trevor Ariza turns around.
He was in a hurry, and I was trying to pick up my paycheck so I just told him good luck and to pass the ball to K-mart lol

    his girl is FINNNEEEEEEEE

Well, after browsing through 4 pages, I really wanna know when exactly is the date that Ariza will come back into action.

Despite being cut off from the internet and kept hectic over job-hunting, the Rockets still presents the concern with respect to the team, winning and chances of making the playoff. :(
