I'm looking for good installers of carpet and ceramic tile who do work in the north Houston area. It's for two different projects, so it doesn't have to be the same person. My hope is to buy the carpet and tile myself, then pay someone to install it. Can anyone recommend a good installer in either category?
I got my carpet installed through Lowe's. Cheap and effective, assuming you like Lowe's carpet options/prices - the installation is very cheap. If you do go this route - ask the folks at lowe's if any deals are comign soon. Most will tell you straight up "wait a month" if you can get free padding upgrades or whatever.

Aren't there guys advertising through 1560 who would probably give you a sweetheart deal since you are closely affiliated? Buffaloe Floor Covering or Floor and Tile or something like that.
You might want to stay away from homedepot. I'm getting carpet/tile installed from them right now and its becoming one big headache.
