You know, we had another All-Star player on that team.
    His name is Yao.

I personally feel that maybe, just maybeee if Luther Head doesn't choke completely in the playoffs, we had a chance to win. Just because 10 ppg extra is always a help

Great lets talk about injuries? How often has KMART played the last couple of years? 61 plus 51 = 112/ 164 = 68%?? hmmmmm

And sure TMAC was out there playing, but he was playing through pain. he probably should have missed half those games.

Hence why I said they had 4 out of the 5. But in that series Carlos Boozer was making Yao look more like Shawn Bradley.. I mean Boozer was killing him all over the place.

Don't get me started on Luther Head

I hate to get into this, I agree with you on one thing based on pure ability TSLACK is the greatest wingman the rockets have had. However, the desire to win and the dedication to become GREAT is what makes him useless to any team. He thinks that because of his ability that he doesn't have to dedicate any time during the offseason to become a better player, and thus would always show up overweight at the beginning of the year. And thus would lead to injuries every year. He had the talent to become a great player but not the motivation. Age has caught up to him and will never be the player he once was, he'll occasionally have a decent game but overall he is just a 12-15ppg player now. Kevin Martin has WAY MORE UPSIDE THAN TSLACK. And Tslack can lead a team to a playoff but has never gotten out of the first round. SO I really don't know why you bring that up. We got out of the first round when he DIDN'T PLAY, meaning we were better without him!!!!! Look he already started complaining about his knee in NY, he played 26 minutes of the first half against Memphis this past saturday and didn't not come out in the 2nd half because his knee stiffened up on him, WOW HAVE WE HEARD THAT BEFORE!!!!!!!!!! STACY MCLADY is done and we should stop discussing him here!!!

Would we have won tonight if we had Michael Jordan?

People love to say we got out of the first round without him, but its really all about matchups in the NBA. If we had gotten Portland instead of Utah in any year with Tmac we still would have made it out. Utah was just always a bad matchup for Yao Ming, and they would have been last year too.

I love KMARTs game, especially the way he draws fouls, but I just wish he had a little more athleticism, because he doesn't finish as strong around the rim as I would hope a 6'7'' shooting guard would, and that's what set Mcgrady apart. When he would drive or get to the rim he could always finish.

Prime example was in last nights game. Kmart blew by his defender only to shoot a week floater that got swatted by both Landry and Dorsey. He's gotta finish that strong. Or at least draw a foul..

But again mclady can't drive to the whole STRONG anymore, so how is he better than KMART. Again Mclady is all but done, he'll have a good game here and there but will never be what he once was. And thats his fault!!!!!! But i'm not understanding, we gave up an injury prone player with no desire or motivation, and you wanted to get a superstar in return like DWADE or LEBRON. I'm not understanding you. Yes KMART is not as strong as Mclady USE TO BE, but hey he has so much more upside then mclady. MCLADY is just a washed up has been that never reached the second round, and who left each of his previous teams on a bad note because of his lack of dedication and desire.

Iono its not his explosiveness either around the rim I liked. The spin he could put on the ball, his layups were magnificient. I just don't see Martin with that touch yet.

Not sure why you think I wanted a superstar for him? I said I like KMART. In adelman's system and with yao ming we need a shooter more than a facilitator/creator. I see why the trade was made in the long run, but I just hate how everyone on this board bashes TMAC, so I feel like I should defend him.

I don't think he really did anything this season to not warrant all this criticism. I mean the man just wanted to play, and I still think he could have helped us if Rockets Management just took the high road and let him.

Ok, this offseason he actually dedicated time to try to get better, but have you asked yourself WHY he dedicated time this year and not any of the previous years. Its his CONTRACT YEAR!!!!! I'm sorry, i use to think he could be up there with Kobe, but the difference between the two is dedication/motivation. The criticism will always follow him and thats because of the image that he has left with EVERY team that he has been on. WHY is it that every team he has been on has gotten tired of him, WHY?

ur dumb too if u ACTUALLY think we would be better with stacey mclazy

this was a emotional game for KevMart its understandable that he had an off night against his former team thats the intelligent conclusion to draw from his performance bcuz how else do u score 33, 32 and 28 pts 3 games consecutively then all of a sudden have a bad game like that?

u tracey nut huggers are ridiculous get a clue that mcgrady is never gona amount to squat ever again and take his sack out yall mouths

Okay, I will settle this for everyone here.

We are better without Tracy McGrady both now, and in the long run.

We would have more wins if we played McGrady.

How many times did TMac appear in the first round? Losers can always find excuses.

As to TMac's 'great' performance last night, I noticed long time ago that if he had a good start, suddenly all his pains were gone. He would always remind you he's still a injured player after slow starts.

Again he'll have one good game here and there, but he already started complaining about pain in his knee. Saturday vs Memphis didn't play the entire 2nd half because his knee stiffened up on him. He told Dantoni that he was not playing the 2nd half, didn't even give them an option, just said he was not playing the 2nd half.. Sounds familiar, ha ha ha ha.

I challenge any tmac supporter to not use the word "if".

You forgot that in the deal we also lost Landry so yes with TMAC and Landry we would be better.

Why do you think I wanted him to play? I know he would try harder for a contract year. I never said to bring him back. But if we let him play at least his trade value would have gone up. Sure we did get a lot for him, but we also had to part with our youngest asset.
