Your lovely Hayes, the starting center, caught ZERO defensive rebounds in 17 minutes of game while the other team grabbed rebound after rebound into our paint.

Plus he couldn't help us offensively.

Plus could not stop Landry. "You can't score over me and you know that!" Ridiculous.

I have an idea for the next similar game: sign Ryan Bowen and put him on the court with Jeffries, Hayes and nobody along with Brooks, and let's play! We don't need Martins, Budingers -not even Yaos- to watch how Brooks dribbles again and again, what we need are superdefenders who can't stop a Landry and can't grab a rebound.

RA has told himself many times:"Let's tank!!!Let's tank!!!".
but some of us are still hopeful for playoffs. :(

Well so much for all those people talking about the 6 game win streak lol. And watch, the next time we win, there will be more playoff threads. People this team will not make the playoffs, they are too inconsistant.

BTW IF we do make the playoffs, someone dig this thread up so I can eat crow. ;)

I don't think Adelman even knows what "tanking" means. I mean, in, what, 19 seasons of coaching he has had like 2 losing seasons? He coaches to win.

Oh man, our backcourt is really a no pass backcourt. I hope Lowry comes back soon. 4 assists combined our PG and SG....

It's not an excuse it's a FACT. You take away 2 main rotation players from any team and they will struggle. No matter who they are playing. It's the NBA.

Without those two we are a lottery team as well. Back to back games only affect old teams like SA. Sac is a young team they can recover quickly.

Ah! This loss sucked for numerous reasons such as the lack of rebounding, missed ft's down the stretch and missed shots! But we have to look at the bigger picture.

I'm starting to get it now. This year is just an experimentation and prep for next season when our Big Fella returns. Trying to find the right rotations and build team chemistry for the future. If we make the playoffs it's just icing on the cake, but if we don't we might get a high draft pick, and with this draft being exclusively for big men as last years was all about guards.

What other organization you know goes through an experimentation and rebuilding year and can STILL try to make the playoffs? None!

This team, already missing Yao for the whole season, is also without our two best defenders as to respect for their positions in Lowry and Ariza. They are severely underrated on this board, IMO.

We can still make the playoffs, especially with the Spurs on the decline and the Blazers also going through an injury bug. Just no more losses like these, and I highly doubt we are gonna give up 24 boards again. This was just a fluke game.

For all yall bashing Jeffries and Anderson, keep in mind, they might not even be back next season, so enjoy them will it lasts. I suspect Morey to use them either in a sign and trade for the obvious Bosh or Amare or they might even be bought out during the offseason.

Lastly, I would like to add, Brooks is a unique player for his size and every great player goes through games where they can't buy a bucket. Martin someout worries me because of his toughness, but he will get tougher as each practice comes along, especially with guys like Scola, Battier, and Hayes to take under their wings.

There is a reason why the Kings were willing to give up Martin for Landry - and now you can see why. Landry is awesome. His energy, his scoring, and his rebounding.

Look, we played horribly tonight. Did anyone play well? Brooks was off, Martin didn't have a great game. Only Scola grabbed rebounds. Outside of Scola, the whole team sucked....and yet we could have tied the game with a free throw with 6 seconds or a 3 pointer as time expired.

You know what - sometimes you gotta live with that. Sometimes this team is going to play crappy - particularly when we don't have much size inside.

It's the Brooks and Martin show - and if those guys are off - and they were both off - then it's going to be a long night. We're going to have a few of these. But I think we'll still be a good team and make the playoffs but just barely.

i had a thought in the 4th quarter that maybe RA is purposely tanking bc the guys on the floor couldnt score for anything and he would not sub...maybe the loss was intentional. i mean he knows we wouldnt get past the 1st round...

Brooks is a shooter, shooters can get hot or have offnights... I don't think we can blamn this game on Brooks. However, I do miss Landry... :( :(

I would say the Kings getting 25 offensive rebound was indeed the Kings beating the Rockets

the kings were just playing volleyball out there with the rebounds and tip-ins. Same thing that happened in sacremento in like the first month of the season.

Which was also caused by Brooks throwing an errant pass down court (If I recall correctly), and ALSO failing to defend Rodriguez when he hit that tough luck shot.

It's amazing we got it as close as we did considering we took 23 fewer shots and shot almost as badly as Sacramento.

Some nights you don't get the bounces on the boards, and other nights you don't shoot well... when both happen, there's not much you can do. Tough luck loss, let's shrug it off and move onto the next game.
