I really don't like Johnathan Bornstein.

(I know that wasn't his fault, but he seems to be in the middle of everything bad that's happening to this team tonight)

Great freekick by DMB... I called it right when he kicked it :)

Holden going out was terrible he is one of the few MFers that have creativity.

And Beasley has just fallen apart, he is utter crap.

Not that I'm happy about a loss. Could have played better. Findley probably played himself out of a chance. Torres probably guaranteed his spot.

Sure hope Stuart is ok. The replay looked a lot worse than I thought it was.

Pretty good, digitalbreach. Pretty good. They're not completely back, though.

    well played, sir.

    MAN OF THE MATCH: SNEIJDER.
    DUMBEST PLAYER: Bornstein.
    He's a good MF'er. :(

He's also a good midfielder. **

It's Mexico vs. New Zealand tonight, you emmeffers.

I don't think Holden is all that creative, he's very good and keeping possession and controlling the flow of the game, and can be creative at times, but it's not really his strong point.

I think he did pretty well tonight and was involved in most of our good chances towards the end of the game.

True. Stuart has to learn to jump over the incoming defenders and not leave his leg out like that or it won't be like today the next time. :(
I agree. He wasn't on the ground as much as he has been in the other matches he's played recently. His experience showed today and he was faster and more accurate than he really was. I liked his "I know, I know" little gesture he did just before the free kick. A- for DaMarcus.

That was a valid statement last summer, not during or after this match.
This was DMB's best match in ages. Plus, it's lovely to see how he's worked on his delivery from set pieces and crosses over the course of the decade. It seems when he went to Holland, he spent time working on it and then during his spell in England and now Scotland. I remember when the guy couldn't loft a ball for a cross or fk or corner kick.

I get what you're saying but I think he is quite creative in terms of goal scoring chances he creates. He isn't Sneijder/Seedorf(typical AM) with many through balls for goal scoring chances but he finds ways to set up teammates and he is a good dribbler when on the ball. But for the most part he keeps it simple! :)

He was great once they moved them back to the left. And when he has played for rangers this year he has been one of their better players.

Mexico 0 - New Zealand 0 at half time. Mexico has dominated most of the game and New Zealand has but one shot on goal. At least it's just a bit more exciting to see good football with quality opponents. The Kiwis have a good midfield, but not a very good defense or attack. Blanco has been a bit inaccurate... but Vela in the second half should fix hat. Giovanni and Jonathan Dos Santos are playing together on the field and it's the first time brothers ever played together for Mexico at the same time. Good game so far. Vela and Dos Santos should wreak havoc on the All White defense.

Also FMF-leading scorer Javier Hernandez (Chivas) is in the game. This should be interesting. Vela, Dos Santos, Hernandez  ... all three should be able to score tonight.

    EDIT:
    GOooOOOooOOOoooL!!!!!
9' Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez on a beautiful header off a Salcido cross. Just beautiful. Wow. We have a new weapon.

    EDIT:
    GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!
13' Carlos Vela on an individual effort in the box.

TWO Down. One To Go.

^ [insert Darth Vader "NoOOoOooO!!!" picture here] :( Holden will be OK for the World Cup.

DIRTY ASS play by that DUTCH emmeffer.

It is is a good thing Carlos Vela took himself out of the game. Being a young player and recognizing something like that and notifying the coaches should be commended. I liked that move. I don't think it's serious, but I don't think he will play in the next game while he is nursing it and Aguirre shouldn't call him back.

Marquez made me a believer again. Blanco wasn't at his full potential or it would have been 2-0 in the first hald.

I am not liking the black kit too much... they shouldn't make a kit that looks like what a goalie has worn (Ochoa has already worn his fully-black one before).

Overall, I thought that was a GREAT test for MEXICO. I am glad it was a victory.

    Crap....we need him....

Our midfield needs Holden, Dempsey and Donavan......

That should have been a red card it was a totally uneccessary challenge.....

As for Beasley, I still say he sucks, he has lost his touch and creativity on passes, I was impressed with his free kicks but on the ball...YUCK.

He's never had a great touch nor much creativity with his passing. He's always been a decent crosser. Speed was his advantage.

I've never particularly been a fan of his either. He did look better yesterday than he has in years. I'd still prefer he doesn't make the roster.

He just looks like a shell of his former self.....

Crosses, yes......and I could not believe that he was playing the right side, put him on the left, it is his strong side.
