    sorry if posted already.

He states the same thing that I have said before about Amare. Wouldn't commit to more than the rest of the season if he were traded to Houston...

Amare seems to already have his mind made up. I think he prefers sitting beach side with D Wade

Man, if any of us were a player, and could go wherever we wanted to go, Miami would be pretty close to the top of any single guys list.

Unless the guy is a megadouchasaurus and looks like someone who does taxes for a living. In that case, Utah seems perfect.

If we had gotten Amare we'd be playoff bound this year.

Maybe but would we be championship bound? If not, then I don't think it would have been a worthwhile move.

So Morey is going to claim that HE was the one who didn't pull the trigger...

It's a no lose situation. You already had Martin. Suns only wanted Scola and Battier and some of those draft picks that will be worthless after New York signs Lebron James. Stoudemire gets you to the playoffs and gives you the ability to make some noise in the playoffs. You have a chance to resign him because with a hopefully healthy Yao, Martin, and Brooks, you are a Championship contender with him.

If he walks, you have the cap space to go after whatever big name is available next year. Instead, you would rather pay Jared Jeffries $7 Million to get 2 late first round picks, an aging Battier, and have to re-up Scola for more than double what he was making?

    Bottom Line?

A nucleus of Yao, Martin, and Brooks is going to look very attractive to any big name free agent that wants to win a championship, like Chris Bosh for example. The Jared Jeffries deal sidelines The Rockets on the big name free agent market. Moving Battier and Scola could have made it a reality.

Or not. The Rockets believe they have a better chances of getting Bosh in a sign and trade rather than by signing with him whatever cap space they might have freed up there.

And if it doesn't happen, they still have pieces to make a big trade next season before the trade deadline. Their position is more flexible this way.

    Couple of points

    1) Suns wanted OUR draft pick this summer (probably lotto)

    2) Suns wouldn't allow us time for physicals on Amar'e (has had 4 surgeries, 2 on knee)

    3) Even with Amar'e we wouldn't make it to the finals. No Backup PF to help.

    4) Amar'e won't play here. He doesn't like Yao. He's an ego maniac.

    5) Even if we sign Scola for double what he makes That's only $7 million (Amar'e want's $20 mil)

    6) Battier expires next year and so does Yao. We can use Battier and even Scola in S & T.

This is basically what he said on 1560 a few days ago with Nuno...

The Suns couldn't trade the fool so the price got so low that the Rox almost had to do it but Morey/Les took a step back and when he wouldn't commit to a long term deal the Rox backed off.

Justice also said the Rox were very concerned about Martin's slow start, almost having second thoughts and they were going to do something "BIG" in the offseason...

    A) Bosh
    B) Amar'e
    C) Trade up in the draft for Cousins from Kentucky

    Are you really surprised?

I'm just shocked he didn't include Vince Young in there somewhere...

Richard Justice...knows nothing about basketball or the inner workings of the Rockets organization. I could have written that article.

Please hurry, spring training, so he can go back to baseball

Given that they added Martin, Hill and Jeffries (combined $20+ mil next year, I think) and subtracted Landry ($3 mil next year). I am not sure that trading Battier ($7 mil next year) and Scla (expiring) would have given the team any meaningful "cap room."

A two month rental on Stoudamire any other year would have been a risk worth taking. This season it didn't make any sense. Add to that the waiver on the physical it could've been a monumental mistake.

It should be possible to publicly fire some writers by having a city wide vote, lol.
