They've got to come up with a better way to track these 40 times. How does Taylor Mays unofficially get clocked at 4.24 and then officially at 4.43?
Like somebody else mentioned, Mays' run was more in line with Jacoby Ford who was officially clocked at 4.28. It was nowhere near a 4.43.
The laser is the best way to track 40 times. Unofficial times by hand are unreliable since it's based on the time-keeper's reaction, especially when you're talking about .2 or .02 of a second.

I could care less what Taylor Mays ran, as everyone's making a big deal about it. A two tenths of a second faster 40 time in no way makes up for that fact that he seems to be slow with his reads. Hell, if he's got to make up 40 yards on someone, he's already burnt toast and shouldn't be going in the first round. And I mean no disrespect to you, nashvegas, with that post...
none taken....just posted because of the obvious discrepancy in times. Hard to believe with all the cameras there and technology available that they couldn't do something as simple as provide an accurate time.
Suprised to see Haden in the Top 10. I don't think there's any way ET falls to #20. Kyle Wilson is a very likely option for us.
I'm curious now as to what Gerhardt's status is going to be. He seems to have helped himself a bit. I'm guessing late 2nd, early 3rd?
How do we know though that that vid shows them all starting at the exact same time? I mean the increments here are so small I wouldn't be surprised if it's within the margin for error.
I don't think he'll make it out of the 2nd. He was already an intriguing prospect, someone will pull the trigger early after his 40 time.
