Did anyone watch the game, How da hell did he get 12 offensive rebounds http://www.nba.com/games/20100228/WASNJN/gameinfo.html
He got a lot of offensive rebounds (tip shots) due to his teammates' missed shots. Too bad he could not convert those into scores. He is still too soft around the rim. He should not be the starter instead it would be better for him (in terms of development) if he could play against the 2nd tier opponents. Kiki gave Yi all the chances he could offer and backed Yi up all the time but I guess he is not helping Yi in the right way. Moreover, if Yi did not pick up his defence during this summer, he will be heading back to CBA after the last season of his current contract (2011-12??).
The Nets did shoot 35% from the field but that is an impressive number. Where does he rank in terms of offensive rebounds per minute this season? That is more significant than one game. Yi is a good athlete with a nice skill set for his size but he has yet to add NBA qualities to his overall game. His defense and his physicality are still subpar and he seems to only show up mentality once in a while.
lol I predict that if someone were to create a thread in the Hangout titled "Sun Yue got a haircut" there would be at least 5 pages of lively discussion.
comeon guys he's not good but their are a lot worst players..even those that were picked higher than him in their drafts.
I predict Yi will stay in the league for a long time (10+ years). Non stiff big man are that rare. Will he be a star though? He's so inconsistent it's frustrating.
Yi gets 20/19 and the only mention he get in the video is one line about career rebound night? Clearly racist
i think it is safe to say and all that deny are clearly just Yi only Fans.. Yi will NOT Be a allstar in his career.. He will be a decent 15 pts 8 reb type player though which is GREAT to have on a team. He just needs to toughen up and play better D.
