I think this is fantastic news. White is the best possible candidate for Governor Democrats could come up with. Moderate, with a great record of accomplishment as mayor of Houston and a proven ability to raise money for a campaign.
If Bill White runs for governor, I will probably vote for him regardless of who the GOP chooses. If it's Perry, I'd vote for the Dem whoever it was.
Perry might win this thing outright, by catering to the tea partiers early in the year no less. gotta love some tejas
Yep, I've been predicting for the last week that the good ol' country folks in Texas are truly stupid enough to vote Rick Perry in for another term, which includes dominating his primary. The winner of the Republican Primary is the new governor anyway, really.
i guess i shouldn't be surprised, but i'm really disappointed at how the republican primary turned out.

I tried to vote today but my precinct was Repubs only, The Dems were miles away. Bull*****! not that it matters except I would like to show some Dem votes on TV.
i don't particularly think the country folks are stupid, but i think generally speaking, they're not as informed as some... although, there is a high percentage of people who will be voting for perry in the primary that live in the city.
This is the new democratic platform. You're too stupid to know whats good for you, so let us run your life. While I agree with this thought, the democrats are certainly not the party of intelligence.
