The Spurs have always been old, they also want to attract veteran talent in order to maximize Duncan's career. Their main problem is that the guys they bet on to carry them this year sucked. Richard Jefferson has been exposed as someone who was just built by Kidd, and Mcdyes for whatever reason suddenly became ineffective. Its not like the Spurs don't have young talent though, they already have Dejuan Blair, George Hill and of course Tony Parker as guys to build on for the future. They also have big man Tiago Splitter playing elsewhere, if they could convince him to play in the NBA then its like they got free a lotto pick.

I would say Quitten for one year. Then you-know-who's this past decade, and their glass bones.

They're stuck between contendership and mediocrity.

They still have all the pieces to compete WELL into the 'offs, but they just cant beat the better teams of the league.
