So I recently figured out that drumline music gets me pretty energized during workouts. Does anyone know of any good drumline music for me to download? Thanks in advance. In before the Nick Cannon references.
As far as a song, hmmm, how about: Outkast- Morris Brown <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/VHNSmlZ9Rwo&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/VHNSmlZ9Rwo&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
I mean like just a drumline, for example this is one of the songs I listen to (it was on the UH Spirit of Houston band CD so sounds much better) <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/dUELtjPf0dQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/dUELtjPf0dQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> and I guess that answers Al Calavicci's question.
I would just google for DCI cadences for a start. Pretty much any top ten line will be smokin. It is kinda hard to find good quality sound since most recordings are parking lot vids taken by a fan or something.
Santa Clara Vanguard's "Double Beat." Their line from 2004 was sick. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/39sSp3r7tkU&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/39sSp3r7tkU&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> And, SCV's "Ramrod" from 2003. Ramrod was their percussion feature in their '03 field show. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Md5NfmKlEcI&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Md5NfmKlEcI&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> 1:32 to the end is amazing.
Look for audio files for 'DCI drum lines' and you'll find good stuff. The Madison Scout drumlines have been 'crowd-pleasers' for years, but the Phantom Regiment has probably been the tightest, cleanest drumline for the last 2 decades. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/pRffDciGEoo&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/pRffDciGEoo&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Also, this isn't technically drumline since it also applies the entire marching band but.... Stephen F. Austin High School's (Sugar Land) percussion feature from their 2004 "Ballet for Martha" show gets me groovin' every time I hear it. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/oTGTUMeo9A0&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/oTGTUMeo9A0&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> 5:38 to 6:30
<object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/pVYpTDtAVKA&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/pVYpTDtAVKA&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>
