Likely I've just been out of it but I haven't heard much about local Houston rappers recently. I know Paul Wall has moved to Los Angeles to focus on his other businesses, though I think he's still dropping a CD soon. What about Chamillionaire, BunB, Slim Thug, Lil Flip, Z-Ro, etc?
Aint T.I. in jail for killing Lil Flip? <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Yk8p-py275s&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Yk8p-py275s&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Who I want to know more about are the true pioneers of Third Coast rap: Lil Troy, Yungstar, SPM, Lil Keke and the rest of the SUC.
the artists you named are still releasing music both available at chamillionaire.com Cham- new mixtape "Major Pain" Slim thug- mixtape "welcome to texas:allstar 2010" Zro is still in town working on his next album, saw him at a gas station last week that's what i know, but Flip is still putting out music too
True pioneers huh? Lil Troy- one smash hit, i think he was performing at a crappy strip club this past weekend SPM- South Park Molestor...eligible for parole in something like 15 yrs Lil Keke- released an album last yr...left SUC and joined Swishahouse/TF records Yungstar- Probably doing drugs and sippin "Drank" as we speak i'm not too sure SUC is still around
