I can't get the whole article....can someone help me out? http://www.newsday.com/sports/baske...ck-adelman-didn-t-want-to-deal-with-1.1785144 10:30 AM By Alan Hahn Mike D'Antoni blew out a sigh as he answered concerning inquiries from the media about Tracy McGrady's status. My peers were asking the wrong person because, quite frankly, D'Antoni knows about as much as we do. This is all McGrady here. He plays when he wants and sits when he feels that he should. The Knicks know they mostly have him as a rental at this point. There is no legit playoff race...
But...Adelman has a huge ego and was just keeping Tmac down...Tmac was 100% and continued to tell us so...why would 'the heart of the team' lie to us? LOL. I've said this a ton of times...Rick Adelman has been in this league a LONG time, if a player makes our team better he's going to play him, if he doesn't he's not. Simple. There's no freakin conspiracy or huge ego...there's just a bunch of uninformed fans that are whining(and drawing the wrong conclusions) because they want to see Tmac, even though he's not the player he use to be. Adelman knew it and knew that the Tmac 'in and out of the lineup routine' would hurt this team a lot more than help it. I'm glad he's gone, now all those folks can whine about Dantoni's 'unfair' treatment of their hero. You know it's going to happen.
This only solidifies how well Morey and Adelman played their cards. I am really curious to see what we would've gotten back from T-Mac's contract if he did play a good amount of minutes prior to the trade. He would've been expressing his aches and pains instead of talking about how much he is dying to get out into a uniform. One last thought, what does this do to Grover if T-Mac continues down this road. ;o
Is it any surprise in retrospect why a Tracy McGrady-led team can't get to the 2nd round of the playoffs? Kobe play through broken phalanges and SheMac can't play through the All-Star break. Half man, half a season. Face it, TMac is a p***y. Thank goodness Morey and Adelman watched the 40 year old virgin and know that you can't put p***y on a pedestal.
Breaking News... Tmac had a microfracture in his knee.. hes a person with limits just like you and me.
RA knew this the whole.. u never believe the hype that comes outa twacks fraudulent mouth about how he is 100% ready hes selfish and all about himself the exact reason that he wanted to go to NY so he can play on a terrible team that would allow him to do w/e the hell he wanted.. ur such a scrub knee-back
unlike you and me he is being paid millions of dollars and has been claiming for a damn long time that he is near 100% ready to play and play at the high level that the nba demands...
Have you played with a micro-fractured knee. Just because he is ready does not mean it's not going to hurt. The two games he has played, 26 and 23 points respectively. Making millions of dollars has nothing to do with this. Just because he makes more money than you does not mean hes superman and can play through a jacked up knee. Stop hating, he is not even on the team anymore.
Breaking News... Adelman wanted to protect Tmac by gradually working him in... Tmac told Adelman to shove it.
Tracy is a drama queen that doesn't put out Morey dump him so he can be an attention w**** somewhere else
I am very interested in reading the rest of that article. I doubt any Rockets fans actually have a login for that site though.
We get it you love t-mac, but at least look up the facts before you just through the good numbers out there...T-Mac has scored 26-15-6-23-0 in his 5 games with the Knicks. The last game he only played the first half. We need a new subject, maybe we should do an over/under poll of how long its going to be before we collectively drop T-Mac from our daily discussions
5 months, I suspect. It will really depend on if he can make it through the regular season but I suspect unless he gets seriously injured or is forced to retire, he will still be considered one of the dark horse FAs of the 2010 offseason.
