Per Knicks announcer - "Sore knee".

+1 win for Adelman/Morey each time that one is brought up as a reason he is sitting out.

The Knicks medical staff has to be one of the worst in the league when it comes to evaluting players knees. Penny, Francis, Houston and now Tmac. Im sure there have been others they signed or traded for with knees problems but I cant think of anymore off the top of my head. Not to mention Curry with a heart condition. I bet a dead corpse could pass a physical for that team.

it's a b2b. the games to end the reg. season is for him to regain rhythm/timing. he'll have games like this, and he'll have games like yesterday. ultimately, he'll be inconsistent.

the answer on whether how good he can still be is next season.

TMac is just an expired contract for Knicks, you think they
really care? If TMac can help sell some tickets, that's already bonus.

I think soreness is to be expected after his type of surgery. But i think Tracy is being overly cautious at this point.

But it's still win for adelman/morey.

Adelman was being overly cautious when he went with 8 mins per game, something that McGrady and his fans took offense to.

Can you guys imagine if Adelman yielded to McGrady's demands, and tried playing him 25+ minutes a night? It looks like he'd have been in and out of the lineup, and it would just be a repeat of last year.

Which is exactly why my respect for Adelman and Rockets management grew this season.

Good lord. T-Mac is turning the Knicks into his personal training facility. And they let him do it. No wonder his agent lobbied so hard to get him on that team. What a joke of a franchise.

And, it would've lowered his trade value, as news of his still gimpy knee would travel fast. Adelman and Morey knew what they were doing when they limited T-mac to 8 minutes/gm.

T-Mac will get blackballed out of the league this upcoming offseason because teams will all come to the conclusion that he can't play anymore. Mark my words.

I would only have to say that John Weisbrod will feel so much more like a genius than ever before should that sort of thing happen.

This is what I said from the beginning of that mess. The Rockets didn't want to damage his trade value by playing him any sort of minutes.

I don't think hardly any teams were really concerned how he could play.

If he came out and sucked I don't think his trade value would of gone down at all.

The Knicks really don't care how he can contribute on the court had he played with us and hurt his value even more I'm pretty sure the trade we did still gets done.

They valued his contract, not the player no matter what they say.

If NY doesn't give MerGady a new contract at the end of the season I'm sure he can piggyback on a contender for cheap. Maybe back to Orlando? Hell Jordan's Bobcats could even sign him. Lord knows Jordan makes great decisions when it comes to players.

Did you read the trade reports? At all? It was pretty freakin' obvious that NY for whatever reason thought he was a serviceable player, and Walsh explicitly stated that he would not take an injured T-Mac under any conditions. So if he had gotten injured again, we would have been screwed. Badly.
