    we all hope so
it would be interesting for everybody to experience a trip to the playoffs against the Lakers(again) so that next year with Yao and hopefully another big star we can make some noise

I understand that national analysts have to cover all 30 teams, but sometimes their lack of knowledge about individual players is astounding.

I know right? Saying that Martin, Battier, Ariza, and Jeffries all are at the same position? Also that Ariza is essentially the same player as Martin?

That was the most glaring mistake, yes.

    THANK YOU!

Seriously Marc Spears thanks for that useless insight on the Houston Rockets. Kenny Smith thanks, for overrating Carl Landry "there is no one like him." Really.....

I haven't "turned" on Landry lol, I love the guy but come on.

"There are guy's like Martin on the Rockets." Really how is Treovr Ariza anything like Kevin Martin? Trevor can not shoot, can not dribble, and can not get to the line, what is Kenny Smith smoking?

Overall that was a disappointing analysis.

Those analysts usually lag really bad behind our GM. When we traded Alston for Lowry last trade deadline, they declared that "Houston has given up the season" and predicted we would not make to the playoff. Guess what happened? We all know what happened.
I could care less about what Kenny or Charles have to say. All I want is that our fans could be more patient and trust the management.

I agree on the chemistry part, going to be interesting when Lowry and Ariza comes back to see how all these guy will get minutes.

I certainly hope so, but to say "we all hope so" is unfortunately incorrect. We do have posters that enjoy watching ping pong balls more than watching basketball. Remember the post about the Rockets tanking and the guy started off by saying, "First of all, if you want the Rockets to win games, you're not a real fan." We've got some jackasses out there for sure.

wow kenny smith is a hater man he basically said our trade for Martin was a bad move and that we would not make the playoffs, i really lost all respect for him he obviously forgotten that Houston was the city that made him most successful in his career, screw him Cassell was better anyway

I'm not sure if I buy the chemistry concerns. Do Jeffries, Budinger or Battier seem like guys that are going to gripe about PT? No way.

Ariza was playing too many minutes before we got martin and battier is getting to the stage in his career where we need to save him more for the playoffs/future. I think they lose minutes, but it's for the best.

As usual, the Rockets make moves that astound analysts, then we proceed to make the analysts look bad.

The playoffs berth will be very hard to achieve this year, but I think we will make heads turn with our play down the stretch when we get Lowry and Ariza back.

Eventually RA needs to decide if Ariza or Shane will come off the bench. For now, I prefer Ariza to join the bench brigade to give more firepower to the unit since we have lost Landry. Also to give the starting unit more time to gel.

Wasn't Kenny Smith trying to get a GM job at some point? And he thinks Kevin Martin is like Ariza?

I think that if it was Landry for Martin straight up, none of us would understand it, unfortunately that was probably the only way that we got those draft picks that Morey values so much :(.

Kevin Martin for Carl Landry, straight up, is borderline highway robbery in the Rockets' favor. Absolute no-brainer.
