They were down by 3 but it was Rockets ball and like 8 seconds left. I think it's a safe bet that we wouldn't see an 8 in 8 seconds tonight.

Ariza's injured, Battier is playing injured. We need a new scapegoat, right?

A win is good, but I don't feel too good about the combination here.

Now the bench went from one of the most productive to one of the worst.

I don't thinkg AB/Martin/Scola all score 30+ will happen soon.

Defense is 2nd half is terrible.

This team just has to survive one or two more games until Lowry and Ariza return.

If one of our old players were here, there would be a triangular battle of wills tonight. I would've loved to see that.

Huge win, considering all the key players the Rockets are missing right now. They had no business winning this game, but they did. It's going to be a heck of a team when everyone's back healthy.

I understand some relaxation defensively with the game "over" and the players exhausted. I disagree with that ISOs at the end of the games. Can be valid with a Lebron James, maybe. If defense is on penalty (or bonus, or however it's said in english), punish it with movement, cuts and screens, they are also tired. Plus surely if you misses the shot but is a good shot, you will be able to catch the offensive rebound or avoid a fastbreak. With the ISOs defense doesn't work and they can rebound easily and score fast in transition. Adelman knows that, he's just too passive, like often.

u cant compare these 2 teams in this situation...

the rockets dont have the depth to sub out the best players like the spurs do

Yes I agree. BUT, i would rather see Jordan Hill take Jeffries minutes. It will be interesting to see how Adelman tweeks the line up again once Ariza and Lowry come back. I believe Lowry is definitely more needed than Ariza but both guys will be welcomed back.

it's not that simple, very few, if any teams in this league can't stop late runs like that completely, it's almost expected anytime you watch an NBA game. You fail to realize our players were tired, not theirs, they had new ones come in with energy. Then the team ahead starts to try to slow down the clock, it happens all the time. Just deal with it enough to not give up the lead and get the W.

this is what martin usually looks like. which is why it was so frustrating to see people givin' the guy crap over a couple off games. i wonder if he will continue to start once ariza is healed.

    - 2 or 3 below average games = kbrick
    - one above average game = he's arrived
    - seasons of solid play and effort = mean nothing

Not really DD, we were merely noting that Brooks was ignoring Kmart (in the first 3 games). RA must have sat down with those two because they shared the rock the way a pg and sg should.

The ice was there, but it has melted away. :)

I am with you on this one. Viva Scola! He is the Rockets' Warrior. I am still not convinced about Brooks manning the PG. I am willing to wait but Lowry, or someone better from Morey's bag of tricks, should play the point for the Rockets. Brooks can come off the bench and start firing away when he is put in the game. If his shots were not falling tonight he would be useless.
