I think he meant that Rip Hamilton is the black Chase Budinger.

It's hard to tell what our needs are outside the PF/back-up center position. If Chase can develop into a consistent 3 point threat and it looks like that's possible - then I think we may be ok in terms of having a 3 point marksmen to stretch defenses.

If Martin stays healthy we should be ok.

what does rip do that kevin martin doesn't? I thought martin patterned his game after him and reggie. The only difference is that he can shoot 3's better...

Personally, I think the best fit is Chris Bosh. If we get him, our offense would be AMAZING.

The Rockets need to give Hilton Armstrong and Jordan Hill a chance to shine. We need a capable backup who will not pout because Yao Ming gets all the minutes and glory. Armstrong has that type of team first mentality. He does need to become more of a banger -- he has the tools -- and a slightly better scorer. If he doesn't show promise to Adelman and crew, then we should go after a cheap, young, athletic center in the draft or in free agency (Amir Johnson, Kyrylo Fesenko, etc.).

Hill is a different story. If he disappoints Adelman, we can package him and our #12-#14 pick to secure a lower first rounder to get Derrick Favors or Donatas Motiejunas. Personally, I favor Favors but it would be fun to hear Bill and Clyde stumble over pronouncing the name of D.M. (auspicious?). Seriously, D.M., once he fills out, would be a tall, athletic PF-C who would stretch the floor. Favors would be a beast in the low post.

Trade for an aging scorer to fill the already stacked SG/SF position, yeah, that would help our team.
