Backcourt is great with Yao, but we could use help elsewhere.

You know what, we could bring back VSpan? He is a big PG that can play with Brooks and switch on defense.

    ;)

the backcourt for next year needs to be Lowry and Martin with Brooks comin off the bench
i used to be a huge AB fan when he was the only player that could get his own shot but now that Martin is here i see how he is purposely freezing Martin out like hes trying to prove a point or something that is not condusive to winning and it seems that Aaron isnt too concerned with winnin if thats the case bcuz we were totally makin a comeback with Martin scoring in the 4th until Brooks just stopped lookin for him and that has turned me off a little with Brooks

I like our chances with a healthy Yao/Hayes/Andersen/Armstrong?(probably gone)/Hill/and Jeffries, and a backcourt of Brooks/Martin - Lowry/Budinger, mix and match as Coach A sees fit. I like Ariza/Battier/Chase/JJ at the 3 (we're talking next season, remember... I keep thinking one of Shane or Trevor will be moved at some point, probably the deadline, if not this summer), Scola/Jeffries/Aussie Guy/Hill?/Armstrong?(probably gone) at the 4 is our weakest link. Scolandry I would have gone to war with, but Luis just doesn't match up with some of the really long, quick 4's very well. Andersen has the length, but is too slow and frequently better suited to play the 5 against the numerous lousy 5's in this league. Jeffries is a good defensive sub at the 4 and the 3, but has no offense, which Scola has in spades. Andersen as well, at times.

Hill is an unknown. I have high hopes for the guy (or I'm just loaded... take your pick, but it's 8 in the morning), and he could blow up next season with the experience of the rest of this year, training in Houston during the summer, bulking up, hopefully working with Dream (Please god!!) and CD. If he does take that next step and doesn't suffer a sophomore jinx, our problems at the 4 and the 5, if we have Yao and Scola, could disappear. Hill has the potential to be what the Big Fella and Luis are not. We'll see. I liked the little I saw of him last night. He really appears to have the prototypical body and athleticism needed at the 4 spot, especially after he puts on another 10 pounds of muscle. Real solution at the 4? Bring in Bosh (another "Please god!"), or the other alternatives that go down from there, and if Luis isn't needed in a deal to get one, he would be a terrific backup.

Did I forget anyone? I guess I forgot to stick to the backcourt. ;)

Well if you stack Martin and Brooks on top of each other they are about 12'7". Does that answer your question?
