When the offense is not run through him, Kevin is chasing the game and not letting it come to him. He is definitely forcing up shots under undue pressure because he is not getting the ball the right way.

i'm watching the game and the problem with him is if he doesn't juke his man with one move, he's not going to be able to do anything.

i think we need to run more catch and shoot for him so he can get a rhythm b/c his 1-on-1 game is not that good. he was an elite scorer 2 years ago b/c he played off the ball. when he did make a 1-on-1 move, it was a quick move.

brooks is the only offensive player doing worth a damn out there. if you're a good offensive player like martin, you have to go and get it.

I wouldn't worry about it. His first breakout game and they will crown him king.

It's clear Martin is not relaxed yet. That will take time but it will come. Also I think his injury threw him out of sync. He moves good. He is quick and plays hard. I am happy with what I see so far. I have to believe his shooting will come around. And even more when he is teamed up with Yao.

You do realize you're stealing the ball from a teammate if you're "going and getting it" from them.

All Martin can do is wait while Brooks eats up the clock.

yeah martin has never been that kind of player really, we need him to treat him more like a slightly more mobile rip hamilton. It's all about ball movement really, they arent moving well. With guys like brooks, martin, and bud, hell even battier, we shouldntbe shooting poorly. We need to move the ball and quit forcing things, we even force the wide open shots.

Just stop speaking. Stop it. Put yourself in his shoes. You ever underperformed in a new job? Because you weren't fully comfortable in yourself and your surroundings? Would you have wanted people to write you off as trash? Even though you had a proven track record of efficiency?

Take some muscle relaxers. Your knee is jerking uncontrollably.

something to consider....when the team started playing at the TC, there were some "complaints" about the depth preception in the gym...some opponents as well talked about it...now it shouldnt be anything an NBa shooter cant overcome, but i cant imagine it's not affecting martin at all, especially if they have been shooting on the practice court for the most part, which doesnt have that issue...so because of that i'd say he'd normally take 2-3 games to get comfortable, but here it should take him an extra game or two.

I was thinking the same thing.. I dont think AB is doing it maliciously though.. He keeps on initiating the offense away from Martin's side of the ball which is strange.. I just chalk that up to AB being a terrible decision maker..

martin+ariza due 17 million/yr for another 3 years atleast. Morey is god?

i couldnt help but think about the iggy/dalembert trade , morey better turn those Ny picks into bosh(he wont, bosh is staying) otherwise we are screwed

And flipping back and forth to the mavs game, deshawn stevenson looks really good, possibly better than martin post-injury. really should have forced the butler/haywood/stevenson trade.

Naw I was thinking the same thing. Aaron brooks and Martin play exactly alike, only difference is the adjustments they make for their sizes.

Martin and Ariza competing against each other to see who can shoot the worst. Never thought I'd say this but looks like Ariza has some competition.
