Ah, I just got me some Bridgestone Potenzas.... Love them .... Sorry, I am just bragging bout ma new tires.. Carry on thread...
I wonder if anybody actually believes a word that comes out of that lobbyist's mouth. O well, good thing we have a government that keeps its nose out of a companies business and lets the free market run its course.
The most important thing to do with tires, is keep the air pressure up. Low pressure causes the tire to run much hotter, which damages the structure of it. It amazes me how many cars I work on that have 20 psi in the tires, and wire and cord showing, especially on the inside edge of the rears (cars with negative camber on the rear). Nobody even looks at their tires. Most of those peeled treads you see on the freeway are from big trucks, a lot of them being retreaded for trailer use.
Niice, what are you running now? Mine are RE 1's.... I Might be taking my car out to the track with these.....
damn. Going to check mine. My gf purchased a new tired on her car, and 1 month later on a drive back to Houston on I-10 from Lafayette, LA.....BOOM. Tread blew off.
