That's Tmac, he's a much bigger name than Kevin Martin.

If that was the case than Aaron Brooks would have been voted in.

At first I thought it was a definite and resounding YES.. I'm not so sure anymore.. I think the Chinese people already liked and knew of TMAC before he became a Houston Rocket. Him coming to Houston and playing with Yao just opened the flood gates of adulation.. I just realized after TMAC was traded that after all his transgressions and bull**** people still and always will love him. (I have no idea why) Just like Iverson he just has something that people want to root for. (Again, I have no Idea what IT is)

I'm betting Martin wont get voted in.. Because he isn't a star or that overreaching thing that everyone loves.. He may have star-like ability but he isn't a star or fan favorite.

    Thats how I see it.

I think the Chinese vote is a bit overrated...I don't think China votes Yao because he's Chinese(Yes some do)...but because he is by far the best Center in the West. Not only does he get their votes, but he gets USA votes as well because...because he's simply the best Center in the West.

Look at Yi...has he ever made it in? He was close that one year...but still...

China respects the game, they are not just going to always vote for Yao's teammates just because...those teammates have to produce as well, and Kevin Martin is in a bigger market, so his popularity will rise.

I'm not saying it's a long shot but...there are a lot of great Guards in the West.

any other position it's for sure, but as a SG he has to compete with Kobe.

#1 - T-Mac had more than China voting for him.
#2 - T-Mac is VERY welcomed in China, he even calls it his '2nd home' (somethin like that)

Nop. Not consistent and it seems like he always gets blocked, trips, or gets the ball stolen in clutch moments.

Jesus, Scottie you b****, thanks for bringing race into a statement that had nothing to do with that at all. I'm not sure if you are trying to insinuate that my statement was in some way racist? I'm an f'n minority...I know racism, why would I promote it. Look, I don't want to start something here, so all I was saying was Yao and Mac seemed to be good friends. As with Martin he seems(as in guessing) like he would be a personality that doesn't connect with Yao's.

    Personally I don't think so.

martin plays the 2 guard. Kobe is still gonna be the top vote getter for the position in the west. Kobe is probably/arguably the most popular player in China.

If so, it puts an amazingly lame sense of humor on full display, and that's being kind.

This thread + title is so cleverly disguised. It doesn't look racist but it is.
