I also saw this game..from start to finish..but didnt see the first game he had. This game was definately a struggle. He looked much more passive, and not involved in the game as much. He has also lost a step or 2. And during one of the 3's he made, he was limping afterwards with a grimace on his face, with no evidence of trauma (maybe landed funny). He did still play after that incident. He just looked slow out there, and was definately a defensive liability. And no, im not a tmac hater. I am actually pulling for him to do well.
He used to command so much attention from the defense that when he had the ball, by just making a single move there's almost always going to be a teammate open somewhere, and he can make that pass better than just about anyone else in the league history. The sad thing is that with his physical decline he no longer deserves that level of respect from the opponent, and he doesn't know or doesn't want to remodel his game to fit with the reality.
Not at all. Look beyond the stats. Even if you just want to look at stats, Martin's and McGrady's numbers will quickly squash that argument as well. I'll try to remember to bump this post in a few weeks.
This really sucks that the Knicks have lost 7 straight in a row. Now the Knicks move from 7th to the 5th worst record. It gives the Jazz a really good chance of landing Demarcus Cousins now.
Thats what Ive bee telling people form the beginng. Look at the Rockets. We had two max players on this team, and for the first few seasons, they had a weak ass supporting cast. imagine the Knicks, with no draft picks for three years, and two max players. LeBron would be starting all over with almost zero chance of ever winning a championship. And the Knicks dont care, they just want to have attention again.
the knicks have zero interior defense, no sense of discipline offensively (the types of shots eddie house took tonight were ridiculous and i am not talking about 3s). to play d'antoni ball, you need a really good PG. tmac isn't there right now, and sergio is still too young. and we know duhon is a top 5 player (at the bottom).
lol at all these people blow their loads prematurely And then, the limping start It's going to be a long season
Just as I won't judge KMart in a couple of games, I won't judge TMac either. They are now starting Tmac and Sergio....that is a 40% turnover in starters. It will take a while for them to get some chemistry. DD
McGrady looked better last year then this year. <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Kju6yanSCPA&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Kju6yanSCPA&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object> <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/zyY-Gb_z-nQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/zyY-Gb_z-nQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>
thank god we only played tmac 7 minutes. i knew that was the reason, not to make tmac mad but rather not risk injury since we knew already we were going to trade him and as far as martin and tmac looking the same. wow. tmac is limping, and done, he is slow and has to avoid contact to avoid injury...martin,while shooting poorly so far, is trying to draw fouls, and get assists and steals and looks way faster and athletic than tmac. martin is also 3.5 yrs younger no brainer martin >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>tmac
Martin looks A LOT better, physically. The stats and results will match that soon enough. McGrady's poor movement and body language appear to be stemming from much more than just a lack of being in game shape. His body looks permanently gimpy. It's NOT his fault. He has little to no control over it at this point. He'll have some positive plays mixed in with a whole lot of bad ones for the rest of his NBA career, however long that may be, especially when you factor in what he's doing off the ball.
Not the way I see it, K-Mart sure is not using all of that speed that well, besides only one of T-Mac's FG's tonight came off a Jumpshot. She was driving and drawing fouls as welll
