If McGrady scores over 25: "I just wanted to impose my will on the game and show the Rockets that they made a mistake by giving up on me. Today was all about proving to them that I'm still a superstar in this league." If McGrady scores between 15-25: "I wanted to let the game come to me, not force it. I could have gone out there and dropped 30 points just like I can any night but it's not about proving myself to anyone. I've been an All Star seven times in this league. I just want to win." If McGrady scores under 15: "I told myself before the game that I wasn't going to try to score a lot. My plan was to get my team mates involved so I knew I wouldn't put up big numbers."
Forget about the McGrady-Rockets reunion...let's start taking bets on who would win in a fight between the Last Knight of the First Crusade (depicted by tinman) or Darth Sidious (depicted by Keyzer Soze). Anyone?
It's called Tough Love, the Rockets handled the T-Mac situation poorly, PERIOD. Adleman has a grudge against T-Mac (rightfully so) but professionalism should have been shown from at least 1 end of the equation. It T-Mac drop 40+ on the Rockets (Quite possible) it might make them reconsider the way they handled that man in the first place. P.S. Tough Love doesn't mean No Love.
it's hilarious that people here actually think they know the day to day relations in the Rockets organization. The coach is suppose to control the team, teams where coaches and players don't see eye to eye are teams that usually suck. The Rockets wanted Tmac out, I don't that's going to change. Oh, I'd like to remind you that this is not the first organization Tmac has had bad relations with. But I guess Tmac supporters say that the Magic, Raptors and now the Rockets are crap organizations. Did Tmac stick it to the Magic? I mean, they went to the NBA Finals last year.
Oh come on, we know how to handle Tmac, just give him a gentle bump in the 1st quarter and there will be a 15 ft forcefield around the rim the rest of the game.
