I don't mind it nearly as much as "Tracy with the facey" and and "Ariza for three-za" ... neither of which the last word makes any sense, other than making it rhyme.

On the flip side, the only (and I mean ONLY) good thing about losing Landry is that we don't have to hear any more Earth, Wind and Fire references. That was the most idiotic thing ever. Bull pushed it hard and it never caught on, but that didn't keep him from trying for a while.
Bullard and Drexler make me miss the days of turning down the TV and listening to Gene. "Hey Bud, let's party" is the dumbest among many, many dumb sayings from Rockets announcers. It makes me want to turn off the game.
I've been trying to imagine Murph saying that and simply can't manage it. Saying it once in a blue moon wouldn't matter and might even be amusing, but every time Budinger makes a shot? Time to turn that stuff down, especially if Chase gets more minutes, which should happen... I hope.

If you think our announcers are bad, I watched Mcgrady highlights on youtube, and the announcers for New York were atrocious. I mean I had to turn off the sound they were so bad..I think we have good announcers, Bill is great, but Bull is wayyyyyy better than Dum Dum Drexler...
Speaking for myself, I think we have a terrific broadcast crew, or would, if they'd bring back Calvin. I just think this particular phrase is getting overused. Every so often is funny, but not after almost every made shot.
I don't mind it. It makes the announcers seem like they are having fun too....and at the end of the day that is what it is all about. DD
