Because you are probably right. I doubt he gets much playing time anyway. For me, this is a perfect match: I strongly dislike both the Mavs and Wafer.

Cuban really thinks he has a shot this year. I mean does he really want Illgauskas or was he simply trying to weaken the Cavs in case of a finals matchup.

Hell, the mavs always get the players we had and then they just go off on a tear. See Gerald green, Juwan Howard.

Yea, who wouldn't love a player that b****es out the coach in the middle of a playoff game.

He was fun to watch, but his head wasn't on straight.

The Mavs are loaded - Dirk, Caron Butler, J. Kidd, Haywood, Jason Terry, Von Wafer...

Mavs, Nugs, Lakers, Spurs... it's going to come down to the wire in the West.

Von Wafer signing with the Mavs?

Shooting guard Von Wafer(notes) has played in the NBA for five different teams after getting picked in the second round of the 2005 draft. He got signed last summer by Olympiakos, the Greek team that is always trying to sign folks away from the NBA (and had success with such folks as Linas Kleiza(notes) and Patrick Beverley(notes), who was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers last year and then traded to the Miami Heat who sent him overseas). Wafer got tossed by Olympiakos this past December and has a hard time finding an NBA team that will take his services.

    Until now.

It appears that the Dallas Mavericks are going to bring Wafer aboard, according to DallasBasketball.com. Before that happens, Wafer apparently has to meet with coach Rick Carlisle, go through another workout, and get doctors to okay him since he's had problems with bulging discs in the past.

He wouldn't do this to us would he? He wouldn't go to an inter-state rival...
