With the recent success of comic book movies (X-Men, Spiderman, ect.) and the planned release of several more such as "The Hulk," "Daredevil," and "Superman vs. Batman," which comic book superhero would you most like to see in a movie? Who would play them? Would it be a rehash of one of the comic book story lines or something new and different? Remakes count. I think "The Punisher" would be cool...without Dolph Lungren. "Spawn" could kick butt....if the original hadn't been toned down for families. What would be your fave?
Mike Mignola's Hellboy (Dark Horse Comics) That would make one hell of a movie especially with all the special affects available!
Fantastic Four is meant for Movies. 1) Small team = more characterization per member. 2) Cool powers that don't need explanation. 3) Cosmic Enemies. Unlimited Special Effects possibilites 4) PG-13 by nature. We've had meteors, cephalopod aliens, comets, Nuclear war, and PMS try to destroy the world...why not have Galactus. Reed Richards......MacGyver Torch...................Damon Invisible...............Rene Russo Thing...................Micheal Duncan Clarke or Hagart from Potter.
There was actually a very low budget production of the Fantastic Four made in the early 90's. Never released, but you can get bootlegs of it on Ebay. From what I've read on it...the special FX are cheese, but the movie and acting itself are surprisingly entertaining.
Mage - awesome late 80's comic from Comico. The return of King Arthur, with a baseball bat as excalibur. Probably Jason Lee, with beard, as the Pendragon. Halle Barry as Edsel (lady of the lake)
Good call on Richard Dean Anderson! I like that guy...I think he should do more stuff...other than those stupid calling card commercials...and SG-1....even though that show kinda OK.
Wonder Woman!!!! I'd like for it to focus more on her early years in her amazonian homeland. How she first became Wonder Woman, all that good stuff. It can't be a cheesy jigglefest like the series was, though. They need to get a young athletic actress to play the part. There has been a Wonder Woman feature rumored to be in the works for a few years now. Nothing definite though.
Yeah, been in Development Hell for a while now. In May, Jennifer Lopez was quoted as saying she wanted to play Wonder Woman. "I kind of look like Wonder Woman right now," she said. I don't know if she fits the role or not.
Universal Pictures presents: <img src="http://images.allposters.com/images/54/039_26087.jpg"> Pamela Anderson as WONDER WOMAN!
I am sure you did not think so when she played in the movie barbedwire.... She is no skank just because she has Hepatitis C, Infact I find your comment extremly of a person with little to no compassion for people with illness. I have a friend who has that same illness and she is no "skank" infact she is a nurse who contracted the illness at work. So be a man and apologize for your ignorance.
She's not a skank because she has Hepatitis C, she just happens to already be a skank, who also has Hepatitis C...and Pam didn't get it because whe worked in a hospital either...
As much as I love J-to-tha-Lo, she's NO Wonder Woman. I mean, WW is supposed to be an Amazon warrior who is at least 6 feet in height. J-Lo is under 5'5". If they really want to be as "authentic" as possible, she wouldn't be the right choice. How tall is Katie Holmes? She'd make a good "young" version of WW if she's tall enough. Good call on Vin Diesel! He'd make a great Hellboy. You should pick up some Hellboy back issues, damn good read and artwork. Mike Mignola(creator, writer, and artist) is one of the most underrated writer and artist in the comic book biz!
I always wanted them to do a film about the dark Pheonix saga. Great story, cool effects and character interaction.
Jennifer Garvin(aka Alias) as Dark Phoenix? Probably wouldn't work though since she's playing Elektra in the 'Daredevil Movie'.
