One game, dude ... one game?!

Give them some time to adjust, I know T-Mac didn't need time ... but he's still T-Mac.

tmac scored 26 points after not really playing a full nba game in two seasons, rick adelman is a fool for wanting to get rid of tmac

the guy will start dropping 30 a game as a knick

What we lost is big energy of the bench, and an explosive force in the middle. I don`t think one of the bigs we acquired can fill that hole.

BUT: what we gained is one of the top 5 scoring SGs of the league. Someone that can carry this team when other guys gets cold, and someone that other defenses will have to double team from time to time. Plus we got some great trade assets, that could help us get a great free agent in the off season.

We´ve significantly improved our starting 5, while hurting our bench production. We still have guys like Budinger, Lowry and Battier or Ariza coming of the bench, so the only thing that`s missing is a scoring big. But when Yao comes back, we can have Luis on the floor when he is on the bench.

Even if T-Mac would become a 25ppg scorer, he wouldn`t fit in our system at all! Here is T-Macs game:

waiting at the 3pt line for the ball. Getting the ball, putting it in one hand and looking around. Then either:

    1) drive and pass
    2) drive and shoot
    3) shoot a jumper

Now he still is a great passer, his jump shot has decreased (at least as a rocket), and he didn`t really drive often to take care of his body.

On Defense he is lazy, not fighting through screens, and rarely really contesting a shot.

Now for the Rockets system he`d need to run a lot without the ball, and pass the ball early instead of holding on to it for too long. On defense a lazy superstar really can take the energy off the other guys.

So it was the right thing to trade him... the only thing I´m wondering: if the other teams would knew, that he is still capable of dropping 30 a night, and be a great passer, if we wouldn`t have been able to get more out of him.

Man, Eddie House had a monster game in his Knicks debut too! We should've tried to get him instead of Martin! The Knicks just straight up duped everybody!!.....get a grip man. Yes, TMac looked pretty slick last night, but if you saw the whole game he missed 2 crucial free throws late in the fourth that led to Durant forcing the overtime. He's still a choker, piece of mind folks, piece of mind.

You just answered your own doubts. We have yet to even see what kind of play Jordan Hill will provide for us.

Landry was my favorite Rocket. But, do not start counting out our new C/PF's. We are still a passionate team.

Good point! I wish some of the "knee jerk" posters would think this way! These transactions are for the future with Yao! I'm not sure we would be in the play offs. If we did, we would face the the (F)lakers & we would most likely be beat down by their friggin' size! I'm hoping Adelman would play Hill so he can mature as a player.

This game was a crap shoot last night that could have had several scenarios:
    a) Martin could have gone off for 40 and Morey was a genius, win or lose
    b) Martin could have sucked, the Rockets won, and everyone would say it was OK he was just getting acclimated
    c) Martin could have not played till he had a practice or two (you knew THAT wasn't going to happen) and the Rockets suck and everyone would have WTF'ed all night long and would be ready to get rid of one of the five best coaches in the game
    d) All players in the trade played, they all sucked and Morey gets sodomized in the parking lot
Get the point? This was almost a no-win situation last night.
    Give it time.
T-Mac will love the spotlight, get his points, and be happy as hell for the rest of the season, and all his teammates will watch.
And the Knicks will still suck.
Who in hell expected in October for the Rockets to do what they have done with what they had left from last year?
It's a work in progress and the Pacers are not the only lottery team The Rockets have lost to this year, even before the trade.
    It will get better.

it did feel like we missed landry's presence that game. he was our only above the rim player, and now we have no big who's able to dunk the ball. dunking isn't everything but when landry dunked it pumped the crowd and the team up.

I think we'll be great when Yao comes back next year, but I also think that we can be good this year once Lowry comes back.

People. Have some perspective. The biggest prize of this trade is the assets that we have accumulated, which can be used as trait bait this summer for chris bosh or amare. Have some perspective. Don't just savour in the current moment.

When was TMac's last game with us? December.

So basically he's had almost two months to rehab and get better.

We didn't exile TMac because he couldn't play, but because he was disrupting team plans by making all sorts of demands.

Give him time, he's on good behavior because he's playing for a contract. Once NY doesn't give him something he wants, he'll start pouting and b****ing.
