How many times did T-mac take us to the second round of the playoffs? Dude if you wanna ride T-mac into the sunset be my guest but in the end he will only set you up for failure. He will get his stats but his team will lose.

Anyone notice what could be taken as a shot at Tyreke by Martin in the post game interview.

Martin:" Everybody was involved and that’s what was so fun. It wasn’t just watching one or two guys stand around and dominate the ball. Once we get used to playing with each other the efficiency will start to come"

    Some thoughts:

    1. Kevin shot horribly, yet helped the team in so many other ways, with 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, a block, and most importantly, 9 FTA's. This guy, once we get some practices done, is going to be a GREAT player with Ariza and Brooks. Give it time, dissenters. Keep in mind the guy didn't even practice with the team yet, and still put up these #s.

    2. Yeah, we were terrible defensively, but the defensive piece we acquired in this trade (Jeffries) was practically unusable inasmuch as he would've been clueless on the offensive end. Once we get a practice or two done, expect to see him surface in the rotation and make a big difference in the short term on the defensive end. Armstrong and Hill can probably help in this regard, too, as will Lowry (who wouldn't have allowed Ford to hit so consistently).

    3. We have a tough stretch of games coming up (NOH, ORL, UTAH, MEM, DEN, etc), and our one advantage for now is that the scouting report on how to play this new-look team is going to be hard to compile; as such, look for this team to probably continue to let it rain offensively, and as long as our defense gets a LITTLE better, we should be in great position to make the playoff push into the 5-8 seed territory. Especially considering that Portland, San Antonio, New Orleans, Memphis and Phoenix have been floundering alongside us as of late.

i thought we lost the game tonight because we just let them get to the basket so easily, I think we could of player jared jefferies or hilton armstrong during the 3rd or 4th just to get some size in the middle.
we also sorely missed kyle lowry tonight he would of played good defense on TJ Ford and restricted him

First off, sounds like it's going to be a wide ride for the BBS. Every good game for TMAC, it will be an uproad and every bad game for Kevin Martin it will be a blame game.

The Rockets lost because they traded away their best 4th quarter scorer and the new guy is not in sync yet. I hear Kevin still played OK, not shooting well but was effective. You cannot expect the other PFs to be in yet because they ready don't know the system yet. Kevin played for the coach before. (Notice he didn't start) I hear TMAC did start, which was surprising.

As for the TMAC loving crowd, he is not a Rocket any more and he did this to himself. He may have good games or bad games (I don't care). I wish his team won because they were playing a team ahead of the Rockets.

I hope he scored 50 everynight and help the Knicks into the playoffs, (makes their pick less useful for the Jazz).

And I hope the 2 superstar gamble for the Knicks fail or else the picks will not be worth much.

And I use to really like TMAC as a Rocket but his attics was too much to forgive. You CANNOT Quit on your team. If you do, your team/coaching staff will quit on you. TMAC was not welcomed back to the team (PR is what it is) Noticed not one current Rocket said anything about missing TMAC? Sure they knew he was going to be traded but I guess this time, it was really "It's on Me" (TMAC saying).

    Yep.

He said when he got here something about he likes Adelman offense because it's not about watching one guy dribble the ball.

Interesting, because he's gonna have to get used to it here also because Brooks is basically an undersized Evans.

3-16, is that good? Martin, Shane and Ariza are all shooting under .400 this season.

I know Kmart wanted to show something special in the first game as a Rocket but he did too much. He forced several jumpers in a bad shooting night. Totally unnecessary. He will learn Scola and AB are pretty good scorers later.

Just checked the +/- in the Box Score,

All our big-minutes players are in really bad except Scola,

    S. Battier 35:45 -16
    L. Scola 37:15 -3
    T. Ariza 35:46 -11
    A. Brooks 39:47 -9
    K. Martin 31:21 -10

This group is not going anywhere in NBA.I don't like Ariza shoot bricks out of 3 point line in the fourth quarter. It will cost us more and more games.

If we don't have chance for the playoff, why not give Chase Bud more time?

This game (and others) really makes me wonder if we can really call Battier an elite defender anymore.

Also, damn I miss Lowry. And I wonder how long it'll be before Hill and Armstrong see some minutes. And please lord, no more Battriza. That combo is NOT working for us.

    Refs were horrible last night.

    So many missed calls.

Troy Murphy hop-scotching, skipping, travelling every time he touched the ball
