this team can be better with martin b/c all we're asking of him is to score, and nothing else. so he better get better fast b/c we got him here to do one thing.
Aww yeah, dat's rite Tmac is out there ridin go carts, maybe even fishing, softball, baseball, whatever, doin it all on the basketball court, droppin 26 pts on 10-17. T-mac 4 lyfe, Camp Chen-a-wanda 4 lyfe
Nope. What part of "he does not fit Adelman's system" don't you guys understand? I wish we had age verifications on this site.
Good why dont you stop posting here as well, seeing you watch every houston game but can't even spell the two fan favorites of this team. Who the Fck is Lowery and Landary? Go take your weak post count to the New York Knicks Board loser.
What part of "Adelman's system sucks" don't you understand? T-Terminator is Top 5 all time for playoff points per game. The man leaves it all on the court, and increases in basically every statistical category during the playoffs. How many players are there that average 29 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists in the playoffs? I'll tell you who else gets those numbers: Lebron James. Kobe is 25/5/5. When you have a fierce, hungry player like T-mac, you find a system that works for him. He has never played in a series with even half-decent teammates. Either Yao was injured, our players were developing, or we had scrubs like David Wesley and Luther Head. But still, he carried our team and imposed his will, almost taking us to the second round ALONE. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PofsN2LgH0I&feature=related
No we wouldn't have won. We need help at the 4/5 spot. And Danny Granger would've outplayed McLazy's ass anyway. Just like Kevin Durant did. Can we let T-Mac go please. We're much better off without him.
Lol... You see Kobe and Lebron have MVP awards, Kobe has 4 rings himself and Lebron took his team to the finals, basically by himself. Almost doesn't count.
T-MAC to the RACK. we'll never hear that again, because Martin sucks. BRING BAK DA MACK MAN!!! he would have won todays game for us, and willed us into the championship
I don't know what a video of MerGady crying has to do with this. I understand Adelman's system sucks at the Western Conference Finals. I understand that he should have gone to the Finals and probably have won it all if the Lakers didn't get help from Stern. Fierce and hungry haven't been words best to describe MerGady when he quit on us last season. The system catered to him during the JVG era and we got the same first round exit result. Let's see.. last year we had no MerGady. Had Yao though. We had Ron (nowhere near Mac's level as you described) and lo and behold, we made it to the second round. We even pushed the Lakers to a game 7. If we're going by your standard of "almost" making it, then Adelman's system is just as good, if not better than catering to MerGady.
i am still loving YAO, i will still watch rox as long as YAO is playing, I hope he opt out rox in the summer, so i dont need to watch the rox game ever again.
In that case, you can go ahead and stop watching the Rockets and stop posting here until next season. Don't worry, we'll try not to miss you that much. But hey if you want to one-up us, just stop posting all together.
My goodness .. TMac has been gone for a long time already. He has not been helping us win anything for a long time now. Go watch the Knicks games.
<a href="http://photobucket.com/images/thread%20of%20fail" target="_blank"><img src="http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa65/photobucke_t/werethisthreadisgoing.jpg" border="0" alt="I see were this thread is going Pictures, Images and Photos"/></a> lmao this thread is outrageous
now i'm not silly enough to proclaim after one game, Martin sucks, TMac is back. Now the OP asks a valid question. Looking as fairly as you can at both performances and the situations, Tracy had a much better outing in his first game with his new team than Kevin did. Tracy played a very good OKC team, when we played a pretty bad Indy team. Martin did good things though, so let's not write him off. Tracy also apparently did good things. He played in what was it? 30 minutes or so? And it's only human to say, well damn, what was up with the 8 minute crap? Oh he was never in our plans, then why didn't you try and move him harder in the offseason? Not like his value was any lower/higher then. Perhaps no one was ready to deal yet with no deadline bearing down. If we swapped out Tmac for Martin last night would the Rockets have won? Yeah, maybe. Maybe go as far as to say "probably" given the circumstances. I personally think the Rockets and TMac should have worked a little harder to make things work for at least another year since there seems to be a great supporting cast in place now. BUt things happened the way they did and the Rockets had already made up their mind that they were going another direction. That's all there is to it. I wish Tracy was still a Rocket b/c I believe despite what many do here, that he could help this team, yes in the postseason. I'll continue to follow him to see where his career goes from here on. But it is what it is, and it wasn't abou whether he can still play or not. That's all BS. They just didn't want him to play for Houston. I will admit I had more interest in last night's game than I've had for many games this season. So I'm glad they just did something. So we should look forward to Martin here. He fits the system well. He may not be as talented as Tracy, but he seems to be a better fit for what Rick Adelman wants. Does that translate to more wins? We'll see. Personally, I think you work a system around your talent. Afterall, that's what we do with Yao is it not? Anyway, let's stop with the we should have kept Tmac stuff, the org wanted him gone. Doesn't matter if he's still got game or not.
i started this thread not to hate on kevin martin. i actually really like kevin martin and i can see him being pretty successful here in houston. it's just hard to ignore the fact that tmac clearly still has some game left!
i see....kinda like he willed us to the 2nd round in all his 5 years here... Seriously dude... just wake up and realize that the Rockets just did not want him around. He's not part of the future plans. Since you're so against trading him for help THIS SEASON... why dont TMAC supporters answer MY question... Lets say we keep tmac...we DO INFACT get to the 2nd round. But then he signs elsewhere for less money...So WHAT DO YOU DO THEN?? You have no KMART, and YOU HAVE NO additional 1st round picks...We're left with $8-9mil in cap space to bring in a FA, Sign Lowry and Scola.. WHAT DO YOU DO ol' GREAT GM IMPERSONATOR???? These moves...like it or not... were NOT MADE FOR THIS YEAR! Get over it... move on in life.... you'll sleep easier at night.
