Tmac didn't show off any athleticism. It's most likely gone for good after all these injuries and aging. However, the skill level is still incredibly high. He can be valuable for a team that can live with his limited movement and lackluster defense.

    True, but who knows really?

Maybe he just needed the rest of this season and the off-season and he'll regain most of his athleticism back?

It's all about timing with this type of surgery.

Who dumb idea was it to only play this guy six min. Like I said before I'm pretty sure the Miami fans didn't bad mouth Wade when he was hurt & worked out with Grover. Prob could have gotten more for mac if they gave him a more than have ass chance to show he still had it. Could have been 26 for the rox months ago & by now he could of prob dropped more but now we are still in 9th in the west & losing to the east??? I will be hesitant to believe RA in the future. Should been truthful. Wondering how much better we could be if the situation was handled maturely. Lot of mac haters just like Barkley kissn that donkey ass & eating crow 2 9. Talk about knee jerk all y'all needed was six minutes damn to crucify??? Oh well really needed that beast landry in the 4th tonight 2

that takes time. it took gilbert arenas 2 full months for him to regain any kind of explosiveness that made him the player he was this year before the gun debacle. it took amare 2 years.

tracy is way ahead of schedule. obviously, he won't be the tracy of old in terms of explosiveness and athleticism, but c'mon, he's still fairly athletic than the typical NBA player.

remember, this type of surgery takes 1 full year of rehab to be 100% recovered. tmac started playing pick up ball in his 5th or 6th month of rehab. and he has admitted he wont' be 100% till next year. and i'm sure 100% to him is both physical and mental.

he'll be fine and if he's a first option of a team, he'll still put up 20+, 5, 5 easily. hopefully, he can learn to be a 2nd option on a contender (and please develop play more in the post b/c he was awesome down there tonight if he wants to prolong his career).

And I'm pretty sure that Wade didn't announce he was going for a micro-facture surgery right about when the team was to seek a trade for him. Mind you I love the trade we made for Kevin Martin, but at the time we probably could have made an even better deal. Oh and he didn't quit on the team like T-Mac did.

Look, the fact of the matter was that the organisation was sick and tired of Tmac's off court antics and the **** stiring he was doing. They probably all believed he could contribute in one way or another. He's a talented basketball player. Tmac's history with the organization that contributed to him being played 8 mins a game and ultimately traded away didn't just go back to Dec 2009. It's an accumulation of multiple occassions of BS that he has pulled and the organisation has lost their patience with an aging, injury prone star.

mind you the trade that we were about to make was for carter. we should be thanking tmac that he announced microfracture surgery instead of still whining about it. if it wasnt for his announcement, we would be with carter instead of martin.

also, chris duhon is probably in the conversation of the top 5 suckiest players in the league. dude was like a fan wearing a knick uniform all night whenever he was on the court. just terrible. how does he still belong on an NBA roster?

I don't know of a single good NBA player that has limited movement and lackluster defense. The NBA isn't a rec league.

McGrady either needs to recover some of that lost athleticism, or he needs to commit to working harder. Otherwise, his career will end fizzle out quick, like Steve Francis or Stephon Marbury.

I love McGrady's game but the guy needs to start moving more. He's so entrenched in his iso game that he doesn't know how to move without the ball. I guess this is how offensively gifted isolation players play when they're old. It's actually kinda funny how he can be corpse like without the ball and so dynamic with it. He needs to find a balance but I doubt that he will.

If he can continue to play like he did tonight than he won't have any problem finding a job in the NBA.

You don't need defense when you play in a system like Mikes.

Suns never played defense and neither do the Knicks.

    He can't, and he's wont.

He's not going to all of a sudden transform himself into an extremely efficient scorer. It was one game and he hits some shots he usually will not hit.

Even if he can't maintain a high level of play he's only 30. Although his body has gone through some serious wear and tear.

On alot of teams he can still be an above average player. I think people are seriously underrating Mcgrady just from how we treated him.

The Rockets staff made it seem like Mcgrady couldn't play at all anymore and was going to shortly be out of the league.

Maybe just fans of Mcgrady the player ?

I'm not a Cavaliers fan and I enjoy watching Lebron.
Nor am I a Nuggets fan but I enjoy watching Melo.

Is it against fan policy to like someone outside of your team ?

Since Landry isn't a Rocket anymore can I not like him now ?
